You can play by yourself, offline with friends or ghost players or online.

Anyone else notice when checking your scorecard for the tournament that it doesn't count GIR when you chip up for a gimme on Par 5's? Not a huge deal, just wondering aloud I guess.

That is on the list to be fixed. This is because it's currently not counting a gimme as a stroke.

Don't want to be a pain in the ass but figure it's better for me to bring this up in a week when I play crappy and don't make it into the money then a week when I play well, but is there a way to "fix" the leaderboards to get rid of all these guys who are not following the rules and having shot recording on. Ya I get it it's fake points etc but not fair to the guys that play well and want to see their names on the top of a leaderboard when three of the top 4 right now I believe didn't have shot recording on.

Thank you! I have PM'd ProTee and Keither who has messaged ProTee also. They were at the show in Orlando so I know they are busy, hopefully they take care of it. I know it's for fun but it may be the only chance I'll ever have to see my name on the top and I grinded to get there. I may not even be there tomorrow as I think these go through today. Would be nice to have my moment of glory ;-)

If you look at past leaderboards you'll notice scores have been deleted and handicaps are sometimes changed to -36. That's why. If you see something wrong, message me. For examples on the first page alone, the following didn't have shot recording on for the Farmers. TKOTTS, TRENN, JEREMY.

A couple of questions:

1. I played my first tournament round last night, and for the first time ever, when I was setting the ball on the red dot, it registered a shot. I DID rewind it, but want to know for the future if that is okay to do.

2. I haven't tried this out yet, but If I am in the rough and the game is suggesting a PW, and the lie is say 84-96%, and I hit a 3 wood, would the result be worse if I had chosen 3 wood on TGC with it saying the lie is 47-76%? Or does it make no difference?

3. Do you all choose your actual club on TGC all the time, or only in tournament play? I assume that is for stats?

Club selection has no bearing on distance. I only change my club selection for seeing how far the shot would go at distance. It can be helpful with the shot recording to check your distances with clubs. I really enjoy the shot recordings for this reason. I rarely change the irons into greens and I'm usually always hitting one club less than what is displayed. This week for some reason the game suggested a 5wood for most tee shots and I did change to driver on all of those because it stands out better when checking the shot recordings.

When you play the video game version club selection is crucial. When using a launch monitor not so much. It can say wedge off the tee and you hit driver. Won't change a thing.

Inside 40 yards to green, sand penalty is 40%. Outside I believe is 7%, which maybe it should be 13%

ProTee United - Can you guys please take a look at the scores for Warpdave for this weeks (Farmers) tournament. He shows 3 rounds in TGC leaderboard and it shows that he had a Net (-11) for the tournament. It should have put him in a tie for first with the guys removed that don't have shot record on. It appears that warpdave had shot record on and I'd hate to see the guy not get credit for a tie for first place. The weekly live leaderboard seems to be missing his first round score.

Well, after many posts by myself and others and PM to ProTee DURING the tournament, turns out the 2 with shot recording off finished 1-2 for this tournament. I know they are working on fixing this so people cannot enter without shot recording and I know these are just for fun but whats different about this tournament? I kept in touch with Keither who is on the committee. Oh well, lesson is dont win a tournament during the merchandise show.

From ProTee:

We have been discussing this with the tour managers. We can not correct this anymore for finished events, but we are looking into a process to prevent this from happening the future. Not all tour players are on this forum, so they might not know about shot recording.

Stay tuned. We will come up with a solution which we will test with the current event.

I think that a simple update can fix all issues. So new players will install the game. At that time, your tour nickname and site login can all be done at the same time. Then shot recording is turned on by default. Existing players will install the update which will link the forum, tour website and the game. Now .... all we have to do is pitch this to the powers that be and wait...... They are already pulling data from the game to run the leaderboard..... what's a few more k of data?

Yeah, I appreciate all they do to make this a great feature of TGC. The thing that kind of upsets me is they said they have discussed with the tour managers and they decided they cant update the results ANYMORE. So they've done it for all tournaments but this one? I dont get it. I know it's just for fun but if I play in something I play to win. I followed all the rules and there were plenty of opportunities to fix this DURING the tournament. Plenty of posts about it, a PM from me to ProTee, both you and Mthunt aware of it...frustrating and sours me a bit on this feature I was really enjoying. They have been able to correct scores after the tournament, they even did last week, why is this the only one they couldnt?

You have every right to be upset Bnorman. I would be as well. I posted above that you and Warpdave should have been tied for first. He hasn't been responded to either and that is unfortunate. Hopefully they'll rectify it eventually.

Thanks Gary, I know you ere one of the ones I spoke of. I appreciate you saying something back then and I appreciate you saying something now. I guess they might get it fixed this week which is great.

We have not yet removed anyone from the tour who did not have shot recording on. We also did not make any adjustments for these players.

We did change handicaps to -36 for some users because of excessive rewinds or lack of putting.

Shot recording is a new requirement. We all have been playing without this for a very long time without any issues.
We discussed with the tour managers how to deal with this. Just removing people from the tour is not an option.

We are currently developing a process that will check if shot recording is on. Players with shot recording OFF will still be able to play the tour, but they will not get into the top 20 on the leaderboards. Hopefully we will get this working before quickly.

That is not what I have been told . It is not a new requirement it has been around for 2 months. You most certainly have thrown the plus 36 at people for no shot recording
