Since I am anyway going to give it a try I could use some help. I live in India and it's not easy for me to get anything shipped back for repairs etc.
Would a 40mm hole cover the camera area adequately? In other words is it possible to get a diagram of how the cameras are place in relation the the acrylic cover? I presume at the center?

We have reseller in India who can possibly help with the repair. Some guys on the FB group have created something similar.

So you think 1.5 inch cutouts at the center of the circles should be enough for the camera? Can even go a bit bigger and it will be really almost impossible for a golf ball to exactly enter say a 60mm hole even though the ball is 42.Originally posted by ExplorNH View PostSomeone made their own with no cutouts and it reduced the camera quality. So I live on the other side of the world and shipping to Netherlands or USA and back again for a repair of the Acrylic would be slow, costly and well super inconvenient, is there a way to fix it in situ ie on site ?
Hypothetical of course, just managing my expectations or disappointment when one of my mates does a 1 in 2000 perfect sky ball strike on my nice new VX!

Well thats great news IMHO, because I see the Acrylic as being the protection for the cameras etc. Any further protection is just protecting the Acrylic, which is now confirmed as replaceable.

As long as you don't mount it too far away from the VX I can't see needing it larger. I would keep it small enough that a ball can't pass through it myself.Originally posted by deepakvrao View Post

Well, did my setup. Drilled 50mm holes. I figure I have to have REALLY shitty luck for a golf to find it's way thru a hole only 7mm larger than the ball. As it is when mounted, I think it will be almost impossible to send a ball at it in the first place.
It's not an extremely neat cut so planning to put a rubber beading around it to just neaten the appearance. Any idea if that would interfere with the IR lights?Last edited by deepakvrao; 02-22-2024, 05:01 PM.

So, this is my quick and dirty setup. The alignment board seemed clear enough in the calibration, and the ball looked fine too in the video, but I could barely see my black driver. Is that normal? I'll try again with some more lighting. This was with very low lighting.
I'm going to love this monitor.
