Bnorman58, It is not that we do not want you to post here. Please read the rules of the forum. We just want a pleasant place to share and learn about golf sims and golf in general. Calling out manufacturers does not make it warm and friendly. Keep it positive and make your requests without berating them. Bring your knowledge and expertise to share.

    "Kill them with kindness"

Thank Boerdoc, will keep that in mind. My dad always told me if you cant say anything nice, dont say it at all. Obviously I didnt listen. This was originally intended to be an attempt to get answers and we have our answer now. Along the way I gave my opinion of TGC and people gave theirs. Could I have been nicer in the way I phrased it, yes. They could have been a little nicer too as they mocked me for what I believe is important in a golf simulator software and it made me a little defensive. Everybody has an opinion and everybody's opinion is important. I take the blame for where this post wound up and I will just be happy with what I have and hopefully those requests will come some day. If not, I will have to do what I have to do. Everybody that has seen my setup in the garage has said "who has their own golf simulator? Thats awesome". So, this is way off the original thread subject so I will leave it at that. We are lucky to have what we have.

One of the reasons I chose TGC is that they do offer regular updates for the few of us that have golf simulators. I purchased TGC in the middle of August and I think that we have had 3 updates since then and 3.0 is just around the corner. Having a golf simulator is awesome and with lower cost systems coming onto the market, it may become more common. Once skytrack comes on board TGC simulator version may receive a little more attention from HB studios. Some of the improvements that I have seen since August have been great...... autorewind for practicing for one. Long story short..... I love TGC. Please don't sell the forum short. Everybody's opinion matters. We will not always agree though. Some people love TGC so much that they take offense when somebody speaks ill of it. This forum is a great resource for sharing information and maybe venting some frustration as well. ( Skytrack users waiting for TGC anyone??) TGC is a great addition to the simulator community. Hopefully, in time, it will be as full featured as some of the other choices that have been around for many more years. Everyone needs to keep posting suggestions for the upcoming updates. After I digest what 3.0 brings, I will start on a new wish list for 3.1 and I encourage everyone to do the same. The online tour is great fun. As soon as I finish one tournament, I find myself practicing on the next one. Special thanks to ProTee for organizing the tour.

          Hey Protee,

Thanks for the update, it will be great to play the new courses, especially with all the design enhancements. A couple questions regarding Protee though, has the center of contact indication been fixed and has the shot timer, where waggling been addressed?

Also any progress being made on multiple tee and pin placements (a TGC issue I know)?

The Swing Tempo Timer blocking the waggling has been removed. Download version 3.07e from our support website (http://support.protee-united.com). Do make sure you set the Swing Tempo Time Out slider to 99 before you install 3.07e. The indicator will be fixed in the 3.0 version.

Center of contact? I am trying to figure out why the occasional shank with a 3 wood mainly that hits the center of club and screen, is this a known bug or what you are talking about?

Thanks Protee,on both, although my current version doesn't seem to have a swing tempo time out slider. What version should I be running before I update to 3.07e, and where would I find it?

No Bnorman58, what I was talking about is that the graphic always showed the miss hit being left I believe it is regardless of whether left or right of center.. sounds like it's going to be fixed now which is good.. As far as shanking 3 woods, I prefer to do that with my wedges!

Interesting, I'm not sure I've experienced that. I must give protee their props. This update also includes something that came up in a remote session I had with them Friday where I was hitting flops that were out of the field of vision from the v cam. They had that diagonal line that was at about 50-55 degrees and from my understanding allows me to remove the blocked out portion on the left now. Haven't has a chance to try it yet but very quick turnaround on that.
Yeah, never shanked a 3 wood in teal life, especially when it's flushed. Happened a few random times. I think it was a camera thing but don't even know which one. Thing that happens on my wedges is the occasional 150 yard sand wedge with a 120 mph swing. not sure what causes that but guessing v cam picking up hands.

I figured out the 3 wood issue. I will post that on the protee hardware thread. Not sure on the sand wedge thing but not for this thread either.

I'm thinking the wedge issue has something to do with me introducing the hosel to the golf ball, damn software doesn't seem to fix!!

Actually it is on a flush sand wedge and it goes 150 yards and reads as 120 mph when it is actually in the 60's and it is an issue many have experienced on this forum. I may set up a second monitor and look at the camera's when this happens next to see if it picking up my hands rather than the ball. Believe me, I know when I hosel one :-)

I opened a ProTee ticket and what they said made sense. It is most likely catching my hands or body over the sensors since I stand closer on the sand wedge. I will post this in the hardware forum too. I will have to stand a little further away and see if that helps the clubspeed issue. It will make it harder for me to hosel one too. OK, enough talk about hoseling, dont want to turn into a Tin Cup thing ;-) Just dont say the 's' word, right?

Has anyone else had a problem with options once a round is completed? Shows LB and RB to rate the course and has $ in other option screens, must either be a work in progress or bug? Ok see in another post this is known and being addressed.
