Any sort of an ETA on the next protee update or TGC course sync??

This is a partial update so we can sync the latest courses and course updates. The next update (3.0) will contain the bigger things...

Added 6,000+ Golf Courses (after sync)
Added new game mode Online Match Play
Added new game mode Online Four Ball
Added Rustic theme
Added Winter Theme including yellow golf ball better green grid visibility
Added the ability to change texture colours.
Can change colour textures of Fairways, Rough, Greens and Bunkers
Added slider for Mowing Patterns
Added slider for the Mowing Intensity
Added lots of new apparel (shirts, pants, hats and shoes)
Added water quality setting
Small bug fixes

Is this update available now? how do we get it::? new to TGC, really like it so far

None of that stuff excites me except the new courses. Honestly, what clothes your character wears? Textures and all that are great but graphics are already good. So guess that means the important sim updates such as ball graphics, map improvements, different tees are still way down the road?

There is a second part to this update that will include the off center setup, skip hole, api access, time of day, and many more. After that, there will be a March update with more to come. Will keep you posted once I get the contents of the an extra update.

The textures is needed b/c that will allow us to play all the new courses. Many new courses were designed with textures that we don't have. This is why they haven't done the course sync until we are on the new version.

Ok. I didn't see anywhere when I bought it that it was a limited version of the software. I'm glad they are bringing us up to the version the mouse users have. And they paid, what, 1/50 th of what I did.

TGC for sim use is based on what the mouse users have. If you want what the mouse users have, feel free to play the game on Steam.

You bought TGC Sim software. It is based on the TGC console game. However, it is not the console game.

The TGC Sim software is constantly being upgraded and tailored to Golf Sim use which differs quite a bit from what's on the console version.

Maybe you'd be happier with e6 after all.

Maybe I would be happy with a company that delivers on their promises. Constantly being upgraded??? If this is upgraded I would have hated to see the previous version.

Bnorman - it's not a limited version in any way. The simulator edition actually has MORE features than the PC/console game (examples - auto rewind and the skip hole option that is coming soon). Each time the PC/console game has an update released with new features (as happened in December), HB and ProTee just need time to roll the updates out to the simulator edition and test them. So, some patience is needed there...but you definitely did not buy a limited version of the software.

I dont have anything in my email. Where did they announce it here? So, the next time I fire it up it will download the update?

I'd recommend sending a PM to ProTee about it. I don't think it auto-updates. They probably just need to confirm you own it and then will add your e-mail to the list.

You get an email from Protee and need to click the link to download. All of the new features aren't in here. This will Esentially give you all of the new courses.

Bnorman58 from reading all your negative posts and rants in this thread I understand you don't like TGC. You don't like the way we communicate, how we run our business and how we deal with updates. To be honest we do not see this a lot, but I respect your opinion. Here is a tip: You can put your TGC system up for sale in this forum. There are no used systems out there, so you might sell it quickly!

You are a new TGC user, so you might have not been added to our mailing list yet. I will personally check this and make sure you will be on there. In the mean time I will PM you a link for the 2.9 update.

I have had nothing but good things to say about TGC, awesome system and have got my moneys worth in 2 1/2 months!!
I had some issues that were my fault in the beginning and they took the time to help me out.
I love playing the tournaments and appreciate the way they are administered.

Thanks for the PM. Will not sell my system for pennies on the dollar when I just bought it even if anybody wanted one. 99/100 of posts on here involve GC2 and skytrac. Trees and grass are beautiful. Hopefully ball flight model improves someday. Also hope for yardage maps someday. I'm not even as picky as the other thread where they request many things. Looks like PG is gaining quite the following. Had a remote session Friday. System still has a lot of misreads. I will never post on here again. Happy?
