My PGA instructor and I were discussing different sims and he obviously knows I have a ST. He told me if I don't have JNPG by June 15th I will not be able to use JNPG with ST. Apparently Trackman bought Perfect Parallel and they plan to eliminate options for their competitors. Does anyone have any insight into this rumor?

That's correct, it's an annual subscription.

This is stupid. Same as the terrible business decisions Foresight does, over pricing the hell out of their software to the point of the general public not even considering it, and charging $500 to someone who buys a used one for no reason other than a money grab. Pushing more potential customers away (me). How many people even play JNPG with trackman? 0.04% who can afford that ridiculously over priced unit for a golf sim. Basically only professional shops/instructors even use trackman since it costs as much as a new car. I just bought a Skytrack and was deciding which game to use. The cheaper entry cost into JNPG and not having to sift through junk courses was appealing. Guess the decision was made for me. I bet TGC will be happy. All the business and revenue is virtually guaranteed to be driven their way now.

Certainly can't see Trackman coming out with a sub $3000 unit to compete. That would be like Lamborghini coming out with a budget eco model. Nearly the same tech as the good one, just 250K cheaper. lol

As a user of both TGC and JNPG I say if you're on the fence, just buy the JNPG subscription for a year and worse case scenario is you cant renew next year and then get either E6 which is ridiculously priced or go with TGC 2019 which looks like it may be pretty good if all the features make their way over to the sim side. The courses in JNPG are pretty great, based on lidar data and theres so many that come out it's hard to even keep up with them all.

If you are not a current user I can't see suggesting that someone rush out to purchase it by the deadline. There is a learning curve as with any new software and who knows when they will fully cut you off or jack up the price to Trackman levels. I may be stuck as I spent a lot of time building courses so may just stick with it for another season.

Glad I went with TGC. Love it and haven't looked back.

blah blah blah.... you're secretly jealous cuz your software has only 3 letters in the acronym

Could you get one of the otjer subscriptions and still upgrade later or you have to get the full package?

The clock is ticking on this. I really the idea of lifel mapped greens etc. If I play a Sim course, I want it to be as close as possible to original. The idea of user created course on TGC doesn't appeal to me in this regard.

Also wondering about Trackman in the Sim business. Indoors, I'd trust ST over Trackman. Even if they went low cost, it would be something like flightscope xi.

I'm sure this has been asked countless times but what is the best simulator as I've not played any of them?!

My 2 cents. Bought Jnpg last week and have no buyer's remorse. Both Tgc and Jnpg have their strengths and weaknesses.

                    Graphics
I like Tgc ball flight tracer better than Jnpg. Tgc graphics with water and trees are a touch better too imo. Jnpg more saturated colors which pop and give more video game feel. I do like how jnpg makes distances feel further.

                    Courses
This is where having both tcg and Jnpg is awesome. Some courses are better on one system versus the other. As a sim golfer having more courses as close to real life is huge. Loved being able to play Shinnecock on Jnpg right now but the Wolf Creek course this week on tgc is also a blast. Jnpg lidar courses are quite impressive... The fairway and green contours are amazing at times.

Jnpg has the tee options and more multiplayer formats which is great to have when having friends over or having my 6 yo son play with me.

Tgc shows ball data after the shot where as Jnpg doesn't without using a user created app on your phone (Jnpg only shows ball data on the range).

Have no idea how it is going to shake out with skytrak and Jnpg in the long run but year to year fee takes out that type of risk.

Anyone on the fence about getting both should take the plunge.

Just litterally finished my build, going to go with JNPG now that I still have the chance and then later on check out TGC 2019 which hopefully will come to SkyTrak
Hey everyone - I wanted to share the build-out of my Skytrak golf simulator at home. I’m living in Belgium (Europe) and during a work hectic, wet and cold

I asked SkyGolf chat the questions and they couldn't give me any information on whether upgrades will be offered after the deadline. I think I'm going to skip this and just wait for TGC 2019. It's a lot more, but I enjoy it on the Xbox One and can't wait to play it using my SkyTrak

Why wait... TGC 2019 is a free upgrade. TGC is on sale right now.

BAM!!! And there we have it! That puts an end to all the confusion and debate over the pricing for existing users.

I contacted SkyTrak through chat support about 3 or 4 days before the deadline and asked this exact question and they told me I couldn't change my subscription after the deadline and I would be locked in to whatever I had at the time. I ended up waiting until the last minute but decided to get the $250 subscription because of this. I would have only got the $100 subscription and probably done it right away after chat otherwise. I really just want to reserve my opportunity to play it if I end up doing any courses for Perfect Golf so I'll need the $250 subscription if that happens but I don't need it now. After finding out about this post I called SkyTrak support today looking to get downgraded to the $100 subscription and get $150 back. I don't think it's an unreasonable request since I was given bad information by them. They are going to get back to me, hopefully they do the right thing.
