I always get prompted when there is an update to SkyTrak.

SkyTrak_Seth thank you for all you do. If I understand the side spin talks please let me add my vote. I love the SkyTrak and TGC but I will say that the side spin seems to be my biggest issue. I truly believe I hit the ball straighter in real life than on the sim. I hope this isn't viewed as a complaint, hopefully just a constructive observation. Thank you.

I tested out the random Skills Assessment. I find it useful. I currently do something similar on my own, and track the results in a spreadsheet that calculates, error, handicap etc.The difference is that I don't repeat the shots, and I track carry only.
I did a cursory check of the handicapping, and it seems to match the real world quite well. I average 19.6 feet from 61 yards, and gave me a 6 handicap. Mark Broadie has an 80 golfer hit to 20 feet from 60 yards. A 6 handicapper is an 80 golfer, so that matches up perfectly.
A couple of caveats: Broadie's calculations are based on on-course results. As such, the golfer has to contend with imperfect lies, wind, and the fact that not all shots are aimed at the flag. And obviously, on the course, we don't get the same shot 3 times in a row.
Overall, a great improvement.

Seth, I absolutely love Skytrak, and your vigilance on this forum is amazing! Thank you. I just have one big issue with my Skytrak that makes TGC almost unplayable. It's short putts less than 10 feet roughly. I am a very good putter, and I have noticed that most of my putts go 3 degrees to the right on TGC. It makes the game unplayable, because it's most of the time, but not all the time. I've read other posts saying the same thing. Is this normal or is there a good fix for this? I have to intentionally estimate aiming 2 - 3 degrees to the left after reading the correct break. This really hurts the game. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi
love the new update, few things I've noticed
When coming to the end of a skills assessment I was presented with new assessment, repeat assesment or exit. I tried to repeat but the button didnt action, nothing happened, had to exit or do a new assessment
I too had the laser switch to left hand when returning to the main menu from skills assessment completion
The skills assessment presets are good but noticed that the shortmixed was as expected (all short) but the short preset had longer distances (190) in it?
Also the number of targets and number of shots at each target I think are reseting to 10 and 5 every time I launch an assessment. I'm used to 5 targets and 3 shots at each for a warm up before TGC and had to keep changing these.
The size of the font displaying yardages and handicap when hitting shots in am assessment felt small.
Keep up the great work

Hi all,
New bug found on my 3 skytrak today after the 3.3 update :
The shot optimizer is "broke" : no launch angle or descent angle calculate (0 - 0) ... Am I the only one ?

yes i have noticed this too. going from skills assessment to practice mode realigns the laser to the left hand position. mine does not reset to the right hand mode unless i restart the unit.Originally posted by jskd82 View PostYeah mine also switched to the left hand mode where the dot was in front of my unit instead of behind... Had to go in and switch to left hand then back to right hand. Oddly it was still on right hand but the laser was shooting for left hand setup.

it'd be nice for the skills assessment and wedge matrix to offer you choices of 1 and 2 shots per club as I don't always have time, nor the amount of balls to work on 3 per shot (48 shots for the wedge matrix, thats £5 of balls at the driving range!).

No worries at all. Do you see similar curvature in both SkyTrak range and TGC? I'm trying to find out if it's the side spin measurement or the ball flight model(s) that might be causing your discrepancy.Originally posted by rjd1975 View PostSkyTrak_Seth thank you for all you do. I've found the bug here and will take care of it asap, but when you go to practice and the unit goes to LH, if you look in the settings, is it LH or RH? And if you toggle that back and forth, it never changes the laser?Originally posted by HeelMD View Post

SkyTrak_Seth here is the shot optimizer not working (100% not working, no matter which club I select). Thank you for your help.

Seth, This is a question for you.
Is Skytrak ever going to be able to fix the random putting degrees off on short putts or is it a Skytrak limitation that can't be fixed? Thanks for all of your experience and time.
