Have you received your tracking number yet?Originally posted by Spudly View PostHello, just signed up to the forum mainly to give you guys some info on the Skygolf site. I know some have been looking at their order in the Skytrak and Skygolf site and are seeing that it still shows not shipped yet. FYI, I have purchased several Skygolf items over the years and that page still shows several items as not shipped yet even though I received them a long time ago. I have spoken to my contact at Skytrak about my order that was placed on the 18th of October. I really wanted it before Thansgiving because I have a house full of people and this was going to be one of the forms of entertainment. I was ready to pay an extra fee for an expedited shipment but I was assured that it would arrive here in Ohio by the holidays.
Looks like from Seth's email that is the case.
If you don't hear anything by Monday, the UPS network will be completely locked down for the Thanksgiving holidays as they fulfill the last few shipment before everyone goes off for the long weekend.
Hope you have Plan B for Thanksgiving...... rush out to buy a Trackman else your buddies and you will be sitting on your hands twiddling your thumbs. Hmmm that has to be uncomfortable .

Nothing yet, I am not worried or as pessimistic as Boggie Golfer, I have been communicating with Skytrak and was assured the unit will be here in time. Seriously, what more can I ask for until they screw up, I am not going on here and blast them about something that has not gone wrong yet.
I beleive the unit ships from Mississippi which would be plenty of ship time to Ohio. I will be the first to post if I receive any info, and if I do not get anything this weekend I will call on Monday, so just chill.
Oh BTW plan B is the piece of crap Accusport Vector Pro and the P3 Pro system I have been using, both about as accurate as rolling dice!

I have to agree with Spudly on this one. I picked up my iPad today, and am looking forward to happily using my Skytrak when it arrives. Lots of negativity up in here. I agree that their online chat service (assumed to be outsourced) is lacking, but otherwise the only problem i can see is they shipped 1 week later than expected. No big deal. $1500 for accurate ball data is well worth it in my opinion. On a related note, if anyone wants to buy a barely used iPad air in a few months, let me know.Originally posted by Spudly View Post

Food for thought: "POC" Vector Pro was produced by the same people selling you the SkyTrak!
And BTW - as noted elsewhere in this thread, the manufacturer's claimed performance specs for the Vector Pro and the Skytrak are virtually identical.

Zmax - I'm growing to appreciate your wicked sense of humour!
A lot of unease in the Skytrak buyer community.

I'm a buyer. I am really excited. I have no unease. I want a camera system. I can't justify the cost of a gc2 (even though I would love to have one). I don't want club tracking, I just want ball data. This is a great option for my needs (finally). I will be more than happy to post an objective review as soon as I am able to log some hours with the thing.Originally posted by aja View Post

I'm a buyer and also excited. Gc2 would have been my first choice but I will use my leftover money to buy a small car! I don't quite understand the negativity either. I think skytrak will serve my purposes to hit balls when it's snowing. And it will come soon or we will all get refunded.
My main question at this point is regarding a hitting mat and net. Rukket net might me best for me as I may take my setup up and down but wondered what others thought. Net return dramatically better? As above, all mat recommendations would be appreciated also

Yes, we are all aware of this, thanks for the obvious, and if you have ever tired to use one of the first models you would know it was made years ago with outdated technology and software. The partnership with Skygolf was a good direction for Accusport to go in.

I can't speak about the net, but I picked up the monster tee 60x60 mat from allturfmats, and it is nice quality. I don't have any time on it yet, but I think it will be great based on swings with practice balls while I'm setting up my basement.Originally posted by wee988 View PostAs above, all mat recommendations would be appreciated also

Truth be told here, this unit seems like a very good cost alternaive to a GC2, and with what Skytrak is saying there are some good things in the works. Lets face it though if it does not perform as expected or if Skytrak takes to long to come out with the simulator package then its onto a GC2 for me. But so far Skytrak has not failed yet to deliver so I am anxious to get it and put it to the test. Also, I too have the monster 6x6 mat and love it, you can put a tee into it and it has no bounce back, plus you are not hitting from the same place all the time so no uneven wear marks.
