Just delivered and on the charger. Never been so happy to see the ups truck pull up. Hope to have some initial thoughts later this afternoon. Going to try to get it to work simultaneously with both the p3 and optishot and compare the results. I have the jagman joe covers for both units and they really help with lighting issues, so hopefully it will work.

Id be interested in seeing your results against Optishot...

Optishot was fun when I first bought it last year but I quickly came to realize it was not all that accurate. I tested it agains Skytrak when I first got ST and the results where night and day. Optishot was showing my 6 iron going 245 yards with a cut whereas ST would show a much more realistic 165 yards with a slight draw. I've pretty much stopped using Optishot as I'm not sure it's good for my swing. Optishot fun-yes, accurate-no.

Similar experience a couple of years ago. Optishot was a joke to me. I used it a couple of days and sold it on ebay.

Agreed. With Optishot, what I think the shot shape should be often conflicts with what I see on the screen. With ST, it almost always matches my prediction of the shot shape based on the particular swing.

The times it doesn't match your prediction do you think you're wrong or the SkyTrak is wrong?

I don't know for sure. With ST I think the error is likely mine, because we so often agree and it doesn't seem wildly off when I disagree. With Opti it seemed like we often disagreed and there were many times when the result seemed virtually impossible, so I think the errors were more likely with the Opti.

Anybody know if there is a performance difference between a 16 gb iPad 2 vs the 64 gb?

Don't think it will work with iPad 2. Minimum is iPad 4. iPad air or later is recommended.

Sorry, I meant iPad air 2 16gb vs 64gb. So many iPads variations. I'm picking up a new one, just didn't know if there was any performance variation related to the storage amount.

Amount of storage won't make a difference.

I haven't used my ST for weeks. I have to wait for the Android app to come out. Hopefully it'll be out soon. A PC version would be awesome too.

Agreed. Although opti 2 is better now that you can "calibrate" the clubs, it is still off from skytrak and also to what I think the ball is doing. No matter how much i try to adjust the settings, I can't quite seem to get it close to ST results. Some will be close, then a few that are pretty off. However, I still think P3 is way better, general shot shape is almost always the same and the yardages are way closer to ST.

Have there been any updates (or rumors..) of when they will add a Sim? Or PC version?
