Rumor of multi-year contract???

No contract was mentioned, just a monthly access subscription, I would think that there would have to some commitment though.

The major complaint I have right know is the login process. This needs to get stream lined, and the bugs worked out. I have a Ipad Mini 2 that I bought only for the skytrak. It stays in my golf room and is used for nothing else. I have gotten to the point were I have to power off and back on the Ipad multiple times before I can get logged into and stay logged into the Skytack app. After I get signed into the app, I jump over to the ipad wifi setting to connect it to the Skytrak. I see that the wifi connects then attempt to go back to the skytack app. When the skytrak app opens its back to the login screen..... Then if you attempt re-enter your password it wont login because you are still connected skytrak wifi and not the home wifi. I have the remember my login info check box checked , but I seem to have to re-enter my info every time anyways. I connected it via my home wifi a few times but again I kept having to enter the home wifi password everytime, and that also seemed to make the app performace chopy.

Is anyone else having these login problems?

I just wanted to post an update on this problem was having. I have had my Skytrak since the first part of December, and the login problem started getting really bad in Janurary. I was hoping 1.8 would fix them, but it was no better. It got to the point were if I was only going to hit balls for 10-20 min, I wouldnt even turn the Skytrak on because I new I would have 10min wrapped up in just getting logged in.

2 days ago I deleted the app, and reinstalled it. Since then I have attemped to login multiple times, and had no issues. Hopfully I dont see any issues going forward.

That is a little misleading, both versions are being released at the same time according to Trugolf yesterday.

Apologies if this has been posted, but have you guys seen this video? It's a robot tested comparison between the SkyTrak and Trackman. It's just one shot, but the ball speed, backspin, launch angle, carry, and shot shape all look pretty close to me. Not really sure what those other numbers are because of the language. Maybe a current owner can chime in.

The others are club speed, offline, azimuth, spin axis, side spin etc

As others have pointed out, the Ball Speed, Launch, Azimuth and Spin numbers are really close on TM, FS and ST. The rest is just mathematics and can continually be improved.

The app they are using looks like Xswing available in Asia. A guy on the video is wearing a jacket saying Xswing. I think it is a promo video for the Japanese company (the main distributor, I guess.)
Another interesting youtube video, probably, by the same company . The Japanese version of Skytrak looks a bit different from US version. I've watched some videos by Xswing and I always wonder why the ball speed is so low. I figure that their speed unit is not 'mph', but 'ms'. I guess it is 'meters per second' ?

I think the Japanese version has its own issue on the flight model, too. I had to laugh after I saw 40 yard roll after 94 yard carry in one of shots in the video. Maybe the ground condition is set to the cart path.

Wouldn't it be nice to get information out of SkyTrak itself?? One of the worst information providing companies I have ever come across! Fortunately I like their product but frustrating non the less!

HKS - Having just downed a plate of crow, I am posting some swings. It appears that the side spin dirction does not have the effect I thought it had. I think I did learn something though.
