Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

I honestly think that as the years go, more and more golfers will have Sim Rooms and will be playing TGC, E6, Perfect Golf, ect. That being said, you don't even need a sim room with Skytrak. Obviously time will tell, but I see the sim market gaining over 400% over the next 5 years.
Almost every house? Let's try to keep this at least accurate and factual....
You cant honestly believe in a 400% increase in 5 years over something most people have no desire to seriously own.
lets try and stay on topic.....cant wait to see how this optoin works for skytrak!Last edited by sdrthedj; 10-10-2015, 02:16 AM.

Obviously no one can really know other than the sim manufacturers if they are going to sell that many. However, with the price of these, there is a significantly higher number now interested (personal opinion for sure, but you can pick up the tone of others). One very recent thread alone on a major golf forum seems to be driving a ton of interest by itself. Most over there don't even know about this forum. Keep in mind, we are talking about golfers here, many of whom are "obsessed" with it, so i have no doubt most would definitely want a sim of their own. How many times do you see people hitting on them in golfsmith/etc with no intent to really buy the clubs but more of just using the sim.

If you go with TGC, you will need a gaming computer. Most recommend a desktop version with some horsepower, see specs in the computer requirements section. E6 currently lists computer specs on their page.

I still wanted to address the issue if a gaming computer will be needed when playing actual courses. I currently use all Apple products in my home. I would have access to an I-Pad 2 and new MacBook pro for use in the golf hitting area of my home.

Skytrak, TGC and other software, graphics cards, CPU's, Projectors and displays, etc., are all technologies that come together to give us that immersive experience we're after.
The trap that the majority of humans fall into when they attempt to predict where technology will be in 2, 5 or 10 years is they think technological advances are linear and believe that things improve by small increments, whereas, and in keeping with Moore's Law, we see exponential growth and have done since the birth of the microprocessor. What this means to us sim guys is that with every passing year we can expect bigger and bigger jumps in tech and we can't even begin to image how better the sim experience will be in just a few short years! The other thing to consider is the effect on price all this has.Last edited by HarryG; 10-10-2015, 01:57 PM.

SkyTrak's social media sites are https://twitter.com/SkyTrakGolf and https://www.facebook.com/SkyTrakGolf?fref=ts. If they're done giving substantive updates here, maybe with enough pressure we'll get activity there.

I just played 18 holes!!!!!!
It was awesome.
This worked for me using E6 Demo 1.6
Had issues with shots 25ft and under off the green - a lot didn't register.
Putting worked with 4 or 5 unregistered shots though.
Awesome.
C'mon TGC!

Played 18 holes on TGC???? How? I'm assuming you were not one of the beta testers skytrak was using.

zip, Seth - SkyTrak_Seth, couldn't care less who buys what software, as long as you buy a skytrak.

Skytrak would benefit from having as many sim options as they can. But I agree that Skytrak only cares about selling SkyTrak units and memberships, they don't care which sim option you choose. I'll play them all if they come out with demos and choose the one that fits me the best, I assume that will be TGC, but maybe my mind will be changed.
