These courses are getting to be so nice looking. All the new tools for designing make the task so much more enjoyable. And the quality of the courses coming from the guys who really know how to is just amazing. At first when I got TGC I thought to myself why would anyone want to waste time designing a course when you can be playing golf? But I must say designing is just as addictive as the game itself. When I am not swinging a club I am usually (if I have spare time) sitting playing the steam version or working on one of my 20 courses I have going. I can not wait until this tour starts. Some of the courses are going to be fun. Some are going to be brutal. But if all goes well we will all meet some new friends and hopefully have a great winter.

Is there a thread that explains how to post those pictures? All I have ever been able to do is post a link to them after I save the screenshot on steam. How do you do it using the Sim version?

It rained in Cali for the first time in a long time, and with a record breaking El Nino season on the horizon, I'd like to spend a lot of time in the garage

Just noticed this on ProTee http://www.protee-united.com/golfsimulator/pricing
Not sure if it's the Skytrak pricing?

$1000 or $40/month hmm decisions. much better than I was expecting. Its still not a no brainer for me yet though as I need to spend a big chunk on a suitable computer too.
I wish it would run on my intel NUC :-(

I wonder if that oct 1st date is representative of it being available for skytrak at that time. If so 2 more weeks to finish sim build.

Not sure why they list a monthly price when you have to pay per year.

                  $995 one time purchase
                  $479 per year

Kinda changes things. The monthly looked good if I could cut it off during the summer.

The Protee Golf 2.0 is the Protee sensor software. If you have prootee you will need it if you have let's say a skytrak you will need there software which hopefully is the
"game improvement package" we have been paying for for quit some time. So if you don't have a protee you are looking at the TGC only package

ProTee Golf 2.0 is the software package we used "before" The Golf Club. Its a fully functional game engine with 100+ courses based on the Red Chain engine (the predecessor of FSX).

This package will probably not be available for SkyTrak. Here is a demo video:

My thoughts exactly. One of those justification ploys i guess. So in two years, you could have actually paid for it outright. Ugh. Man do the pictures of those courses look nice though. What to do???????

My guess is that annual amount they show you is just to let you know about the annual cost. I'm sure you can still pay monthly.

I don't think so based on the fine print. "Software subscriptions are prepaid and billed annually. You commit to paying a full year's subscription"

That's too bad. Monthly would be really good for some I'm sure. I'll probably end up buying the software either way, but I could see cutting it off during certain months when I can't use it.

Buy it. Then love the hell out of your decision. This software is fantastic.

I would be pretty upset if they show the price for TGC Sim at $995 for ProTee and then it cost more for SkyTrak. Oct 1 is not a bad date though. My SkyTrak comes today but I have no Apple devices so it will be sitting around until then.

I guess the pricing for SkyTrak will determine whether I return it Oct 1 or buy the Sim and start playing.
