Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

Thanks ForeLeft - I'm hoping to see a full round played, or at least a few holes, from tee to green. Thanks ProTee I see that video demo looks great. The putting in that demo video though is a bit weird because they are putting up that ramp (as in E6?). Everything looks good.

Sorry, didn't know you meant with a Skytrak.
ForeLeft, I use NVidia Shadowplay. There is a setting in there for embedding a webcam (assuming you have one). Now I get 50% of your YouTube royalties. I'll expect my check for $0.46 in about 3 years.

Ah that's some real good ideas for the practice rounds, didn't even think about playing my own ghost and how it would help with the lines and club selection. I was just kind of guessing based off one of the guys ghost ball that seems to hit similar distances to me hahaOriginally posted by keither5150 View PostWhen practicing the current course on the tour, I sometimes choose a few of my own ghost rounds. It helps me with club selection and what lines to take. Another thing I like to do when practicing for a tour event is turn on auto rewind on par 3 tee shots. Take about 10-15 tee shots for each one. This way you get a feel for what club to use and what part of the green you want to hit. Once I have made up my mind, I turn AR off and proceed with the round. When using AR your stats will not be kept.

TGC worked and distances seemed flawless this afternoon!!!! I'm wondering if my lighting last evening had something to do with distances be way long and also all of the "shots" that didn't actually take place?
It's a double edge sword.......to much light and the projector image faulters......too little TGC doesn't operate as it should. Maybe I need to mount a spotlight in the mancave shining only at the ball and SkyTrak.

Yea I did have that issue the first time I turned on, sounded like the same problem the other guys are having. Distances with my 7 iron was 225 and pw like 180. I only hit about 15-20 shots like that and even had one random shot that just flew out on its own without even swinging that just went along the ground like a putt but went about 500 yards I think haha. I immediately made sure the screen on the front of the skytrak was clean from dust and all and still had the issue. Next I just unplugged the usb from the skytrak and just turned it off with the normal off button and restarted my computer. Then I opened up whistling straight course when I got back on and hit some 7 irons off the first tee and all was right again. So not sure how or why it fixed itself, wish I knew so I could help the other guys out. If I figure anything else out on why it happened and why it fixed itself Ill let everyone know right away.Originally posted by keither5150 View Post@ironstrokes..... did you have problems with the distance being too far on irons? If so, maybe share on how you solved your problem.
TGC is crazy fun when working properly.

I'm just gonna say. Some of my prop bets made prior to release were spot on. Not that any of us are surprised.
Btw I played 32 holes (started hurting and stopped) earlier today in the Q school tour to start acquiring a handicap and was very happy with everything. The putting and chipping is fine, although reading greens is definitely a learning curve. I many times got it on the green in okay shape and then 4 or 5 putted. I expect to work this out as I use it more often. Distances all seemed consistent from what I see in the skytrak app for the most part.
If anyone plays with my ghost, I suck at driving, still working on using my body more to gain more yards.

Change your gimmies to 2 yards. That is what all of the tournaments are at. When putting on TGC, weight is far more important than the line. And just like in real life, you have to make sure that you don't run it through the break. Once you get used to reading the greens, putting is no less than amazing with TGC. When reading the green make sure that you use Q and then W and S to move forward and back. On shorter putts, you can press V for a quick zoom.. @ Joko, I just bought irons with graphite shafts to help with joint pain. I played 5 rounds in one day. Graphite shafts has helped a lot with joint pain. Check out my videos on Youtube by searching keither5150. Kapalua bay has some good examples of my putting when I am on my game. I am also playing against 2 of my ghosts. It took me at least 15 rounds to get my putting = to real life. There are a few putting courses, where all you do is putt. You can search for putting in All Courses. Make sure that you use Auto rewind or quit the round without finishing. This way it won't affect your stats. I learned that the hard way. Dougie and Iron, glad that you got your systems working, See you on the tour and welcome aboard. Since August, I have played 152 rounds..... so you guys have some catching up to do.

Awesome! You must have had that magical fix I had too, hopefully the others are soon to follow. I didn't change anything with my lighting though if people are wondering if that was part of itOriginally posted by DougieMn View PostTGC worked and distances seemed flawless this afternoon!!!! I just laughed at your post.....I did the EXACT same thing as you when I tried it today. Fired up Whistling Straights and used nothing but my 7 iron. After realizing distances were good after a few holes I went to the bag and started using all the clubs. I have ZERO explanation why I had nuclear capabilities with the previous 2 sessions but had shots that were similar to your 500 yd putt. All seems good............for now.

Haha that is hilarious. There it is fellas, Whistling Straights and a 7 iron is apparently the fix!Originally posted by DougieMn View PostI just laughed at your post.....I did the EXACT same thing as you when I tried it today. I’m considering buying TGC to use with SkyTrak. My room fits a screen 10.5 feet wide and up to 10 feet tall. Obviously a 4:3 aspect ratio bests fills this screen. I want to get as high of resolution as possible. Does TGC have a 1600 x 1200 resolution setting, and if so, does that seem as high quality as the normal 16:9 HD settings? I assume this 4:3 ratio is HD quality, but it simply chops off a little from each side, which would be fine. Can someone confirm that? Thanks!

Great to see your issues resolved. I have tested TGC with ST for a while and the distances are spot on. The one thing that happens is ST sometimes misreads the ball spin which results in shorter/longe distances. Make sure you pay attention to elevations/wind/rough and certainly breaks/uphill/downhill on putts. Enjoy guys and join us on tour.

Finally found a bit of time to put in 9 holes. Pretty spot on. $995 is little steep but the sim experience is pretty darn close to the real thing. Even the scores are close. As of all new softwares and gadgets, there bound to be bugs all over the place hence i only hope that ST and TGC continues to improve it... especially after dropping a thousand dollars without demo.
Considering it just launch, i find the number of bugs quite acceptable.
Hope all have a great time swinging at it.
Finally... not all negative posts when i browse this thread... I hope...lol...

Wow that first putt on 11 was hit with ball speed of 8mph and went 21feet on fairly level ground (up 1 inch.) That calculates out to a stimp meter reading 6 based on 3.52m/s speed. What's weird is that putts on 11 and 12 are hit with a lit of ball speed but both zero degrees perfectly straight putts. Is anyone missing putts by 1 degree or 2 degrees off or are they always 0 degrees or something over 3 or more?
