Got an email from WGT this evening about a major announcement at the PGA show tomorrow morning:

Wonder if they are going to announce multiplayer play for the skytrak? Fingers crossed.

Basically WGT is now part of Top Golf. Not sure how it will effect skytrak integration though.

I heard no mention of Skytrak. I was only partially listening though as I'm supposed to be working.

Just read their press release (http://topgolf.com/us/golf-gamer/). Doesn't sound like WGT selling to Topgolf will do much to help WGT improve its sim features for SkyTrak as now they'll be focused on implementing Topgolf games into WGT instead.

Here at the main show today and have some updates. First some good news, Skytrak is ready for a new release and it has some cool features we have been asking for, there will be targets in the range to hit to that you can customize, this is great, see picture for screen shot.

Second both the guys at E6 and sky golf estimated that the E6 sim option should be ready in 3-4 weeks. The subscription service will also be ready at that time. Unfortunately though I discovered that both Perfect Golf and TGC are still in testing and a couple of months away. They both look great and I had the chance to hit on TGC and it is really smooth.

I am still on the floor and looking at other stuff, I will try to post more info later.

Hey all. I've already gotten to meet some of you here at the show - great to put some faces to names! We are showing TGC, PG, E6, WGT, and SkyTrak v2.2 here at the show. For any of you here in Orlando, we have a bay on the main floor and also 2 bays upstairs. I know what you all are wondering...and we will be rolling these out to the public shortly after the show, but please come try them out if you happen to be here.

Hi Seth, do you know whether we will get the opportunity of a trial on any of the simulators before purchase?

I think a demo is huge...especially since this is a $1000+ purchase. Hopefully e6, has a revised demo available as the shortcomings with chipping and impossible putting in the original demo will prevent most of us from considering it.

How about pricing structure or updates on all 3 for comparison?

Granted this is a DEMO related statement only, but I believe TGC is working on a DEMO for both Skytrak and GC2. That's what I'm hoping for at least.

So new range release occurs when? Obviously not at the show or it would be done. Likely 3 weeks based on history. So March 15?

I'm guessing for a good chunk of us, sim season will be over before these things come to market.

My sim season pretty much ends in March/April.

Yep. Kind of my point. Appreciate Seth as always but how can you not show up at the pga show with no pricing or dates? They setup last year (e6) and said soon. I remember thinking at least I'll have it by next winter. Groundhog Day here.

I still love the skytrak and practice often (especially when compared to NO practice without it). I recently compared it to my pros trackman indoors with a 7 iron and they were VERY close in numbers (spin, ball speed, carry, direction).

maybe some announcement is planned as the week goes on since it is only day 1.
And thank you spudly and Seth for info and pics. Those of us freezing need as many pics as possible.
