ProTee United Can you please shed some light on why even though this is related to SkyTrak only the same bug is not being experienced in the SkyTrak app or E6? It seems there is something related to TGC that is causing this problem. BTW, I'm just curious, not trying to give you guys a hard time.

It seems that adding ghosts is pretty buggy. When I add multiple ghosts (2nd and 3rd) I can't tell if they are added and have to keep resuming the game to see. I had to try multiple times to get it right. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but it isn't very intuitive.Comment

There has never been any complaint about adding ghosts. Not on the sim and not the PC game. When you add ghosts players they will appear in the player list below your name on the course. If you do not see them then they have not been added.
Add your ghosts before you start playing, not in the middle of a round. You can do this just before you tee off.

Hey! Here's two more TGC/Skytrak bugs I am experiencing. Just want to let ProTee and Skytrak know to be aware and hopefully resolve in next release.
1. On multiple occasions when pressing the rewind shot/mulligan button TGC takes me back further than one shot. Sometimes back to the previous hole on the green putting again. This is a pain because we have to play those shots again.
2. Also I was playing with another person. I hit my drive 40 yards further. But then on our approach it switched our shots. Meaning, it made me play from the other persons drive and they got my ball position from my drive. The bug is it didn't assign the correct player to the shot that was hit. I've seen this happen twice so far.Comment

Well after reading all of the posts regarding phantom shots, and phantom putts I have this problem. Yesterday was my first round using ST and TGC, TGC had to remote in to get the software loaded. After they left I had the software working but only 5 courses (I paid for all 92k) up with no instructions. First course was Flathead Lake I had 33 phantom shots or putts 27 of them with me holding the ball, I can't play like this. Reading the post back to 2014 it was an issue. No fix? E-mailed TGC they're just very slow at responding (it took 3 weeks to get them to remote the up load), then I called ST they said it's a software problem and they have no access. HELPComment

Yeah, I have to agree with ProTee on this one, how can this issue go back to 2014, the software was just released two weeks ago. Both ProTee and Skytrak are working on a solution which I am sure will involve a firmware update soon. Please do your homework before signing up for a forum site just to come on here and blast our manufacture partners, seriously, this was your first post! Fail.

The new version 1.4.1 - green now holds better and relative to spin. Meaning that when I hit a 8i @ 6k spin it does hold better than previous however I noticed that it still runs quite a bit from real life. But arguable for green speed.
Shot shape works now just a tad less drastic than real life and ST apps.
Will test 18 holes later today and report back. -
I retract the above. Played 18 holes.
Good! Most of the spin problems are rectified. Green holds well and shot shaping is great.
Putting is overall accurate.
No ghost shots for the entire 18 but of cos I was pretty careful moving the ball around the red dot. Hope this version solve the same problems for others.

Well my excitement has been knocked down just a tad since my initial impressions in the Skytrak/TGC thread. Had friends over today to play. Had so many "no reads" that I lost count. It almost always happens on pitch shots and chip shots with wedges. Unless the person makes perfect contact it almost always gave a no read. If someone hit even slightly behind the ball it was a no go. I've not really hit pitch shots in the Skytrak range, but I've never had "no read" problems. The problem appears to be somewhere in the communication between the Skytrak and TGC. I hope this is something that's being addressed in this new interface update. If not, I hope it's something you guys are actively investigating. Was kind of embarrassing considering how much I talked the Skytrak and TGC up before they came over. Thanks for the response. I'll get some video tonight. Should be able to reproduce it no problem. The culprit always seemed to be pitches and chips with wedges. Only had 2 driver no reads and 2 full iron shots not read, which is perfectly reasonable in my opinion. It's the shorter wedges that was consistently bad. That's an interesting theory. Something worth testing further. One of my Vokey wedges is nickel and the other two are black. I'll see if there seems to be any difference in the two. I myself didn't have but a couple of wedge issues in an 18 hole round. But I make more crisp contact with my wedges than that of my friends. I feel like it's something to do with hitting behind the ball and creating somewhat of a "knuckle ball" effect. Maybe the Skytrak is expecting more spin and doesn't like it when the ball gets dropped kicked a tad. I have a Fiberbuilt hitting insert coming tomorrow, so I'm also interested to see if I get less no reads with it as opposed to my Country Club Elite. Thanks for the update link, I installed it this past Friday night and played a couple of rounds with no phantom shots and held all the greens that I was supposed to, even backed up a couple of wedges. Played the first two rounds of Q school, and I have to say, this thing is great.
I have noticed a couple of wedges that did not register, but they are contained to only when I hit it fat or bump into the ball, it seems that you do have to really catch it clean.Comment
