Awesome news, any details on price or release date for sim. Version? Looks like i will need to build a new sim computer,hTGC requires a lot of horsepower for smooth graphics at high res. Currently over 3800 courses available and growing. Nice.

Don't know the exact price yet but I have a feeling it will be a lot cheaper than what we've been used to. Hoping to start testing in about a month. If all goes well, release should be late fall.

Can you describe your current system and what your new build will be?

Of course, all ProTee 2.0 owners will be able to add TGC.

Yes it is. I love the fact that I'll be able to create my local course so I can practice on them in my basement during the winter. Times a changing....

TGC is a nice package. There are a few drawbacks but there are workarounds for a couple of them. The biggest negative is you can only have 1 pin position per course. The work around is to publish 4 versions of the same course with different pin locations on each version. You move the pins, and rename then republish the course ie: Augusta pin 1, Augusta Pin 2...etc. Unless you are the designer however you cannot modify any of the courses in the library.

Second one is not such a big deal since we are already used to it, only one set of tee boxes for each course. Again, you can change tee box locations and distances for each hole when you change pin location as noted above.

Third, There are no alternative selections for camera angle cams currently. Hopefully this will be addressed with the simulator version.

Finally, There is no out of Bounds...........anywhere (not necessarily a bad thing). Also there is no drop feature or Mulligan feature yet.

                    But the graphics are su

Those issues such as out of bounds and drops are critical elements for simulating a round of golf. I'm sure they'll be in the at some point. With big money from Sony and Microsoft, it's just a matter of time before theses features get put in.

This is amazing news! I recently purchased 4 ProTee base pack 2's for the indoor golf center I'm starting. Will be awesome having the option to use TGC if I can.

TGC should allow you to do some cool stuff with tournaments. Where your customers can play against the other tournament player's ghost balls or live balls while they're playing their rounds. Good luck with your business and post pics of your build.

Posted this in another thread but it belongs here too.

The ProTee 2.0 simulation software itself is not required for any box to work with TGC. But the various Protee interface/SDK software are needed to translate data to TGC. The GC2 requires similar software to work with ProTee 2.0 and TGC. keep in mind that ProTee has exclusive distribution rights for TGC simulator software. But more details later.
