              Zmax,

Everything I see coming from the new The Golf Club release coming soon sounds great! Finally the chance to design my own courses, and play them using Pro Tee, correct?

So, if I read what Dennis has to say (from Pro Tee), I could use the Accusport Vector Pro launch monitor tied to Pro Tee Software, is that correct Zmax?

I could then purchase The Golf Club when it comes out on Tuesday, August 19th, 2014, and run that as my software to display the courses, is that right?

I'm trying to piece this together, and it's looking more like I make it happen for this coming Winter!

              Thanks in advance,
              -Brett

                Brett,

The Vector Pro will not work with TGC. At time of release for TGC sim version(not Aug 19th), you will need a ProTee 2.0 system if you want to play TGC on a simulator.

There are new devices coming but nothing official yet in terms of integration with ProTee and TGC.

                    [hide]Hi Zmax,

At time of release for TGC sim version(not Aug 19th), you will either need a ProTee 2.0 system or a GC2 with ProTee 2.0 software if you want to play TGC on a simulator.
I think I got it, can you tell me when TGC sim version is scheduled to be released?

What is the price on ProTee 2.0 software? GC2, I only found one on eBay at around $5,000. I assume with GC2, you don't have a putting interface, correct? So, if I buy base ProTee system, which includes the putting mat, I would have both putting, and swing interface, correct? Are the GC2 measurements (with the GCX) better then the ProTee measurements, are there lighting differences between the 2? I'm going to have a limited space for swinging (the smallest footprint area that ProTee shows), so wondering which is best for the most accurate swing measurements?

There are new devices coming but nothing official yet in terms of integration with ProTee and TGC
                    Ahhhhh... can you

[hide]If all goes well, TGC sim version might be ready by Oct. The price of ProTee 2.0 software is currently $2000.

The GC2 will read putts. With the latest GSX, putting is very good now. But GC2 will not give club data such as face, path, and speed. Simulation play is a little bit more accurate with the GC2. It also doesn't require setup and tweaking unlike the ProTee. The ProTee requires correct lighting for sensors to work.

LM such as the GC2 will give you the most accurate simulation and flexible lighting. But they do cost more. A brand new ProTee with putting sold recently for $4700 on Ebay.

One affordable device that is getting close to release is the SkyTrak. Don't have an exact date yet and no official word what software will be available for it at launch.[/hide]

There will be a special modified version of TGC that can accept ball and club data from hardware devices using an SDK.

This new version with SDK will be bundled with hardware, so you can play real golf.

The price will be much, MUCH less than ProTee Golf.

The price of a package will depend on the type of hardware included.

Cool since I haven't purchased any of this stuff yet. I guess I shall wait a little longer. I have finished my room, will post pictures before/after soon.

I'm guessing within a month or two, we're going to new prices and options on the Swingsens site.

                            i.e
                            ProTee sensor + Putting + ProTee 2.0 = ??
                            ProTee sensor + Putting + TGC = ??
                            ProTee sensor + Putting + ProTee 2.0 + TGC = ??
ProTee sensor + TGC = the most affordable??

                              Hey Zmax, Longhorn,

If all goes well, TGC sim version might be ready by Oct. The price of ProTee 2.0 software is currently $2000.
I'm excited to see how TGC sim version turns out... What kind of pricing have you heard for TGC sim?

The GC2 will read putts. With the latest GSX, putting is very good now. But GC2 will not give club data such as face, path, and speed. Things are getting real interesting... so you're saying the GC2 reads putts too, fantastic. Will the SkyTrak also read putts? This is one of the most important factors for me, how accurate are the putts - then I see on some forum posts people are complaining with 5 foot gimmes how easy it is to score low. Will ay of these devices work accurately on shorter putts, and what is the interface I need for that?

I'm looking for a least 2 simulators and with all this info I'll wait until TGC software is all up and running before making a decision on what to buy , hopefully we all find out that the hype is justified asap,
I'm surprised the red chain dudes don't just upgrade their own graphics as they have everything else going for them in term's of courses and gameplay.
