When we play irl on a tight course, we always talk about swapping out one club from the bag and adding a chainsaw.
chainsaw would have been handy on a few holes on this course :-)
bad bad driver day also made it more tougher than it needed to be as well
low expectations based on all of the comments in this thread but had more fun than expected playing this course today

I kind of enjoyed the course. A few trees were over the top, but I like working the ball both directions so I thought it was fun even if a bit cartoonish in some spots.

I had to try it after reading all the comments and wasn’t planning on playing the second round, but I think I will. Just have to make some putts!

We've used this course for years. It's stupid tight but it's not ever got this much complaining. I believe it's super accurate with the exception of the trees. They are bad. 11 is crazy. The thing about the designer is it often gives you heavy limbed trees that can cover the fairway. It's the designers fault. The guy that did this course always goes overboard on trees. He also did Glen Abby where I was a member. Crazy Trees but super accurate.

mthunt It is tough for sure. I only think a few folks are really upset, most seem the say it is not their fav. I am going to play my rounds today and tomorrow but I have played a few practice rounds. Been dealing with the flu all week so I am hoping it will be a Jordan-like flu effort but I just don't know if I have the ability to shoot more than 2-3 under per round...more likely that I will shoot 2 over per round. Just trying to survive this week

Played first round today. I echo everyone’s bitching about the trees. Good practice for shaping shots though like others have mentioned.

That course won't be in my favorites for sure. Still enjoyed the test. I worked the ball into the trees instead of around them. Ughh.

This course gets real tough after the 10th hole. Trees hanging all over the place.

Yeah I don't care for this course either. It's not just the over hanging trees... I mean sure, they sucked. But the other issue I have is that there is zero to very little "light rough". Miss the tiny fairway barely and you are in heavy rough virtually every time.

Almost all courses are built with heavy rough as the primary rough. The reason is there is fairway, rough and heavy rough. Rough the first cut or fringe leaving everything else as heavy rough..
