Thanks! I was hoping we were getting the "full" test. :-) I like playing the full lengths even though I'm not a long hitter off the tee box.

OK folks, i really hope you don't encounter what i did. If so, expect to be highly frustrated and you'll need to have a ton of patience.

Maybe it's something with my system, I really don't know.

The scout cam is completely unusable for long putts, long chips, short sided bunker shots, medium length short sided shots. To the point that i would consider it unplayable if you rely on it for your aiming and landing point evaluation. Every single time when you hit the scout cam, it flips in the other direction and no matter what key you use, what club you use or what shot type you use, it does not help. If you try and rotate it around in the other direction it takes an ungodly amount of time, so much so that it would easily double or triple the time it takes to complete a hole.

Maybe there is some type of fix or keyboard shortcut that i don't know about, to correct this, if so please advise.

I've had it happen a couple times before in other tournaments and even mentioned it, but for some reason it happened to me almost every single time on this course. Way more than any other course

      Beyond frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One positive though, when you really don't care anymore, you can shoot a good score.

wbond I had the same issue too! I got so frustrated I stopped recording. I managed a great second 9 when I just stopped trying to use the scout cam but my second round was crap. I missed so many putts by inches in the first two rounds it was crazy. Felt like real golf lol.

That sucks, looks like i wasn't alone on this. At least others will have a heads up and maybe skip using it as well.

I was just too frustrated in the first two rounds and stopped using the scout cam near the end of round 2. I wish it was only my putting that was effected but not so. And I'm pretty certain this time i had a 5 putt. Oh well there's always next tournament.

Good luck on your final round, who knows maybe were onto something with not using the scout cam at all and just play more by feel. Paralysis by analysis i guess.

What if you press "V" after pressing "Q" for scout cam. I believe it shows different camera angles of your approach shot as well as show the grid on the green.

Yea I would use alternate cameras myself as well before I just ended up turning off the new scout cam feature entirely. I like the viewing angle it gave you before the fix (even though you had to pull the screen back forever it felt sometimes). That directly above view isn't great for getting a feel of the break and speed in my mind, instead of cycling through the different views I just ended up turning it off and going back to the old scout cam.

I haven't looked into yet, but you're saying you can change scout camera setting from "automatic" to whatever the old option is? I'm used to hitting scout cam then adjusting the camera to the tee, so that would be great if so.

I completely forgot about turning it off. I will have to remember that next time i play. I would rather have to drag it back then it flipping all the time.

I really hate when it flips the camera. Didn't know about the V key. I'll try that in round 3 on Sunday.

This course plays fantastic at this distance. Some of the second shots are long but the greens are big and the trouble around them isn't too bad. I am really looking forward to watching this on TV.
I wasn't too happy with my last tournament. My practice rounds were better as usual. Here's hoping that I can put up 3 good rounds in a row. I really like 17.... even if you miss the green, it makes for an easy second shot.

Yea, if you turned on the new scout camera option after the newest update came out it made it so the screen wouldn't zoom past the hole anymore, just turn it back to the old setting again. You'll still have the annoyance of having to pull the camera back again when it zooms too far, but if you don't like the overhead view or switching camera views each time is the best option right now.

Interesting that some are encountering this issue. My Scout Cam works perfectly.

I should have thought to switch back to the old zoom method.

My practice rounds were garbage, but something clicked in my first round and ended up shooting one of my better rounds! Hopefully I don't blow up in the following rounds like I did last week.

I had the same issue with the scout cam. It kept showing my ball and wouldn't go any closer to the hole. Must be a bug?

Played my second round, and true to form it wasn't as good as the first.

I played a practice round before and saw some very odd readings. Hit a 189 yard sandwiches shot from a green side bunker.....and then I hit a 25 yard drive with a full swing. Saw the long wedge shots a few times. Then a few 6 iron shots that went over 200 yards. I reset my computer and everything worked correctly for the competitive round. Although I felt the putts moved much faster in the competitive rounds than in any of my practice rounds.

Plan on getting round three in tomorrow.

Sounds like that previous shot bug.
