I have played a couple practice rounds on it. It is a good layout course. Punishing if you put it into some bad spots. Greens were flatish. I did struggle with speed on putts and judging spin on approaches. Some check fast and some release more than I would have thought with the flatness of the greens. Should be a good tournament. Some low practice rounds scores with the guys I ghosted on. Putts dropping in from everywhere!

ProTee United Just curious. Are handicaps recalculated on certain days of the month or days of the week? Thanks

          Hi ProTee United ,

I probably played my best round ever on this tournament but my first hole I had some extreme difficulty with misreads (think I shot a 9 on the par 4). I had some 7yd chips that were going 25 - 30 yds and not even in the remote direction where they hit my impact screen. I tried to rewind shots and exited out of game a few times, but when I can back to play it was always counting my last rewound shot. I did this about 3 times. I ultimately had to shut down entire computer and Skytrak to solve this. I have shot recording on, so not sure if you can see any funky numbers and where I was trying to rewind to make my actual score line up with rewound shots that were recorded.

Not a big deal if you can't do anything about it. It was a problem I have never had before and want to keep it fair for the rest of the players.

          Thanks

I saw the score on 1.. Brutal . That is awesome you could keep it together to shoot a great round. Putting at RMW was rough for me on speed. I started the ball online pretty well just blasted it through the break. Thought the course was cool though.

Thanks @Wyzguy. Funny how much better you can play when you think a round is toast and the pressure is off.

            No worries @ProTee.

Think I may get to swing a club today for the first time in two weeks. Hopefully can play soon.

Of course, went outside and turned on the sim pc the other day....poof. Think that may be the first processor I have killed (i5/2.66).

Anyway, good news is I was forced to upgrade! (boo hoo) Grabbed an i7-6800k, 32G and a new motherboard. Popped it all in and presto-magic....Windows pissed! lol, damn thing blue-screen reboot-looped on me and I couldn't repair it for the life of me. (actual boo hoo's now). Ended up back at Fry's buying my first copy of Windows.....ever. Have always had access to MSDN in the past, but not this year....sooo sad.

So yeah, ass-out all my local data, local cash and local sanity...but got a decent performance bump (untested as of yet).

Big thanks to @Protee for the quick turn around on the new license key.

Look at the big picture you have a plug and play system. If you have a protee and you lost everything you could be a week on tuning it back in. Crap I need to go do a back up now.

Worst round ever for misread by far.

            # 9 - 124.8 mph LW
            # 26 - 184.3 mph Dr.
            #27 - 180.7 mph Dr.
            # 35 - 182. mph Dr.
            # 43 - 13.9 mph putt from 8 feet that went on its own
            #45 - 148.6 mph 4 iron
            #50 - 159.8 mph 4 iron
            #51 - 165.4 mph 4 iron

Normal ball speeds about 80 for a LW, 134 for a 4 iron and 152 for a driver.

Unfortunately with all the misreads tough to keep a flow going and enjoy the game.

But more importantly Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

Ok I figured out what happened, I just played a round on Little Brook Manor with only one misread So when I went to play my tournament round I warmed up on a driving range, then when I was done I closed down TGC and the server then went back in and restarted so my tournament round recording would start at shot #1, I did not shut down the interface though... so I think that is what the problem is. When I went back to play Little Brook Manor, I shut down everything, and no problem.

ps Little Brook Manor would be fun for a shoot out.

LBM would have some low scores.... the greens are super easy.

This weeks and last weeks courses were excellent. Good job whoever is finding these.

I just played my first round. Had a good round going, but dropped a few strokes on the last few holes including a 3 putt on #18 from 30 feet.

Played my two rounds. Not what I wanted to see.

I've been taking lessons and I swing very well in his studio on the Trackman 4. Then I get in my garage and I play terrible. Wonder if it's because I feel cramped in there.

Also, played IRL today and had some good swings. Distance and accuracy is starting to come back. Still shot a 98 but it was better than I've played in a while.

Just like last week I had one good and one bad round. 91 then 82. Rounds like this keep taking my HCP down making it harder to score. If I could only put 2 rounds together I could pull out a decent placing. But that is golf isn't it. This off season I will be working on some swing changes that may make it even more erratic. I will be trying to stand more upright and trying to develop some lag. 2 more pieces in the puzzle of a golf swing.

I tried to play this evening but couldn't start a tournament round. I could select the tournament from the available ones. On the next page where you can see the leaderboard and course details, the icon in the bottom right never changed to say tee off. I clicked advance on the right too but nothing happened. I was able to play a regular round though with no problems.
