How to turn on SHOT RECORDING

Shot Recording is a Tournament feature. In order to use shot recording you must have a tournament user profile.
Play at least 1 live tournament event or official Q-School event in order for your tournament user profile to be created on golfsimulatortours.com .


TGC includes a SETTINGS file.

You can edit this file using the TGC Dashboard.
Skytrak users have a shortcut icon installed on the Windows Desktop: SkyTrak TGC Settings.

Important: Make sure the server or any other interface program is not running.




This settings file contains a section: [TGC Online].
Here you find:

Shot Recording=OFF
USER ID=<YOUR USER ID> eg. AAAA-1234-CCCC-5678-EEEE

1] Turn on Shot Recording by changing Shot Recording=OFF to Shot Recording=ON. Save the file.

2] Copy the USER ID.

3] Edit your Forum user profile and paste the USER ID in the field: TGC User ID.

4] Edit the field TGC Nickname in your forum user profile. Make sure its EXACTLY the same as the nickname you use in TGC (case sensitive).

5] Save you forum profile and hit a couple of test shots on a random course.



You will find the recordings on http://golfsimulatortours.com under your tour player profile.

ProTee United or mthunt I followed the instuctions on this page. Turned on shot recording. Made sure user names were the same. and played a full tournament round. Will it be Tuesday before i can see myself in this http://golfsimulatortours.com/tour-players.php list? Thanks.

mthunt and ProTee United Nevermind. I showed up in the list but as shot recording off but i knew i had turned it on. Restarted the CPU and everything works!

Ok ,so I'm obvioulsy one of these noobs not getting this to work properly.
1. Made all the steps from the instructions above.
2. played the first round of Q-school
3. My Name is on the Q-school live-scoring list and I can find myself in the tour stats
BUT
its a red cross in the ShotRecording column.
AND
It says im from United States... Its supposed to be Sweden

Saw that someone made it work after a reboot and i will try that but I'm not able to try it untill tomorrow.
ProTee United Do you see if I did somethin wrong? I am using TGC with R-motion.

Everything looks good. Try hitting a couple of shots on a random course. Shots should record.

Wanna play in the tour events. Just played round 1 of Waste Management, and score show on leaderboard (bad couple of holes for me too....wow), but SR has a red X. Followed all the directions, am I missing something?

Same thing happened to me in the previous tourney. I rebooted my CPU before playing the 2nd round and shot recording came on.

I see the green check mark now. Thanks all....too bad I had a tin cup moment on 15, both rounds (3 total balls in the water, going for the green from 230+)...took 9 on the first round....ouch....it was fun, can't wait till next week.

Okay it's now working after another restart. I already played 1 round of Q school when it wasn't working. Do i need to replay that round or can I continue?

Your TGC nickname in your forum profile was set to your full name. This should have been Grapestomper. We fixed it for you and should work now. Hit some shots and check the tour site (golfsimulatortours.com).

Last instruction says "hit a couple of test shots on a random course" does that impact your handicap?

Game handicap is different than tour hdcp. Doing this will not affect tour hdcp.

I'm confused does SR work with regular courses or does it have to be a tour course? I tried everything in this thread and still can't get it to work.

Once you get shot recording going it records everything... to start you have to play a couple of holes. Go to: Main Menu -> Play -> (Select Mode)-> Play Tour and just play a couple of holes. Then check to make sure it recording. Once you do, it will record everything.

Not sure if this is your issue or not... I was the same way until I played the first tournament, now it records everything ask Pro Tee he helped me...

This should be added to the steps listed in many places.. Playing random holes is not what makes it work sounds like. I like others have done the steps and nothing is listed yet under tour players for us to see our profile/shots. I see in this post that a tour profile is not made until we play an official course/event.

ProTee United What is the official name of Q School. I see where it was said to go to Tournaments, All Tournaments and on page 2/3 you'll find Q School a while back. But I don't see it anywhere. Closest thing is GFF Q School.

NEVERMIND. Found it...was searching on PC that didn't have SIM to get myself prepared for when I went out to garage. I guess the servers are different... Sorry for the confusion.
