Just curious if anyone's heard of any software updates to Protee coming. Especially the graphics or maybe any news of a Protee 3. I had a chance to try out the Protee simulators recently. I loved hitting on them, but the graphics are looking a bit dated. This came out in 2009 right? Would be about time for an overhaul on the graphics.

Any timeline on the update?
Been waiting to "pull the trigger" on a ProTee purchase for a while now but with the rumours of a "new affordable launch monitor" (still not available) and no faith in the ProTee launch cameras, ProTee is not as attractive as it may have been in the past.
The fact that the "price" is now up for auction through E-bay sales also seems to indicate that the product is now past it's prime.
Hope the ProTee update is not just "vaporware".
Cheers!

Once the update or should I say "new option(s)" are ready, Protee owners will be extremely happy. Wish I could give out details...
The best option right now if you can afford it is still the GC2+Protee software. With the Protee software, all new options will be available to you. Ebay sales allow folks to get a Protee at a great deal.
The Protee+new LM is what we're all hoping and waiting for...
As for the timeline, I've been told soon for the last 3-4 months.

Hey rick,
It's been a great season for me so far. Shooting mid to low 80's and a few in the 70's already. My putting got off track a month ago due to a bad stance. No idea it had been getting worst slowly until my buddy made a drawing of me putting. Putting is fixed now.
I feel my game is good enough to be in the 70's all the time now, but just not playing enough to stay that way. I hope everybody is seeing improvements after playing in the winter league sim golf.

Everything is going well this season. Shot several 9s under 40 but have yet to put 2 together to get under 80. I have shot several 80's. the winter has defiantly paid off for me again. My HDCP has dropped from 15 to 12 already this year but I have played a lot more rounds that were scoring rounds this year. Last year we scrambled almost all the time this year they are having a lot of best ball and alternate shot tournaments that we have scored well in. I played league against the club pro last week and he told me I should be a 6-8. I played in a tournament 2 weeks ago that was a 2 man scramble and we finished tied for first but lost on the card. We made the money in 3 best ball tournaments this year so far. Got a big tournament this weekend here that a lot of pro's play in. I don't play in the championship flight but have won my flight twice in the pOriginally posted by "Rick" post=4228Sounds good! Hopefully more folks in our league next year! How's everyone's golf season going?

Damn, this discussion has me hesitant to order the Protee base pack 2's. I'm planning on building 4 of the simulators for an indoor golf center I'm starting. I'm having a new building built for it. I haven't purchased any equipment yet, but I'm planning on starting purchasing within a month. I did test out the Protee system and loved it, though.

Played today in a 2 man scramble and shot 60. it was good enough for 2nd place, 59 won it. My partner putted 4 times. he stood behind me, lined me up, and bang... birdie. One eagle on a par 5. LOL we both missed a 3 footer for eagle on another par 5. I hope the scramble mode is here by this fall. It will be a blast online.... Minus the fist bumps.... My knuckles were sore after today...

Hi Zmax!
If the "new option" that is available is the "affordable launch monitor" then the new set-up becomes "affordable launch monitor" + ProTee software, instead of GC2+ProTee?
Seems to confirm my thought that the ProTee sensors are going by the wayside and the new launch monitor will be replacing the sensor pad, putting sensor and cameras.
ProTee then changes to simply a software solution, and no longer a harware and software package.
Interested in the new developments and how soon the dust will settle.
regards,
AJ

Lots of guessing going on here.. To clear things up from our end:
1] Our online partner SwingSense (https://www.swingsense.com) lists our systems on Ebay. Ebay is a great platform to reach potential customers that you normally would not reach through the normal sales channels. Links in the ad point to the ProTee online site to promote the online tournaments. These ads are a lot cheaper then google pay-per-click ads
2] The "affordable launch monitor" everyone is talking about is not a ProTee product. Our hardware will not be replaced by a launch monitor. At the moment there are also no plans to connect the ProTee software with this "affordable launch monitor". If you want more information on the new launch monitor contact Accusport.
3] There is no such thing as GC2+ProTee. The ProTee software contains an open API which can be used to interface with other harwdare platforms. For more information on this API visit our customer support center : http://csc.protee-united.com

Hello Dennis!
Thanks for your post and sorry for my quite late reply!
I re-read your post and now understand that the Foresight GC2 uses the interface capability that is built into the Pro-Tee software.
Can you explaing who did the programming so that the GC2 can link into the Pro-Tee software?
I recently tested a GC2 and was quite impressed with it's performance with it's own driving range software. The price however seems quite high, especially for an older technology.
Can you comment about whether it is possible to use the "open API" to allow other launch monitors to use the Pro-Tee software? I have an Accusport Vector Pro available to me.
Would the new "affordable launch monitor" perhaps lend itself to using the "open API" possibilities?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Andris,
Any 3rd party hardware that can outputs human readable data via USB, Bluetooth, TCP/IP or Serial ports can use the API. If the "new affordable launchmonitor" outputs readable data, the API can pick it up and turn it into a shot in ProTee Golf 2.0. I don't think the Vector outputs any readable data. You need to ask Accusport.
