As a software developer myself I know my customers would never put up with the lack of communication. Seems bubba is the only one they communicate with. I don't care what anybody says because I know there are some people very adamant about tooting their horn and how they are a video game software but I paid good money for it . These are not tough features to develop and absolutely necessary. E6 puts tgc to shame as far as features and playability and I can only play one course. There's a lot more to software than pretty trees.

Not sure what your rant is about. We have been told a software update is coming in January. Sure it's nearing the end of the month but the month hasn't ended.
ProTee has also tried hard to not make promises that it can't deliver on. In another post they have already alluded to what is planned in this update. Guess you missed that. The coming upgrade probably will have more features added than any of the previous ones. I'd like to think that they are hard at work making sure everything works.
You could vote with your wallet and purchase E6 instead of playing just one course on the demo. And as a software developer yourself, you should recognize that E6 is a mature product and TGC is very much still being developed as a simulator.Last edited by aja; 01-22-2016, 02:52 PM.

Well, I'm sure a LOT of people do understand what my "rant" is about. I will put it this way. It's not even a good video game and it has been around a long time. If it were a better game, it should not be hard to develop quickly into a good simulator version. Regardless, I HAVE voted with my wallet and as a customer I think we deserve better than the answers they give. Guess I didn't miss that post about alluding, it's part of what I'm writing about. There is a fine line between not promising something and not committing. I know when I am expected to do something, I have to commit to it and deliver it. I see posts here over a year old asking for basic stuff that should have been in their video game version.
"Tried hard to not make promises they can't deliver on"...sounds like a good way to get fired from my job. You guys keep placating them though. I speak my mind.

I think the sim world is overpriced for sure. But it's supply and demand.
You're saying you're unhappy paying $1k for software that's not mature. It's a good point by aja to compare to a more "mature" software, which costs >2x TGC, E6.
Maybe....you get what you pay for? Even if the entire market is completely "overpriced".

Yes, 1 k is a lot of money. I actually have a reseller that will sell me 45 course version of e6 for 1200. Would have been a much better investment but I have read everybody singing the praises of tgc. I should have read deeper and saw the requests that have either been on hold for over a year or told they won't do them.
Regardless , the point of this thread is the folks at tgc have not been answering their customers and when they do, they are non committal. Maybe that is ok with you guys but not for me.

My job is to say I will deliver this software on this date that is well tested and has no bugs and does this specific task or tasks. Just so happens, that's their job too and they don't do it well. End of story. Guess I will live on their promises like you guys and hope I didn't waste my money. nothing I can do about it now.

There is a price that should be attributed for the updated graphics. Comparing E6 (10-15+ years old?) to TGC or PG, graphic wise, isn't much of a comparison.
Maybe to you, the graphics are not a big deciding factor. If so, I agree you got ripped off. For myself, I find great value in the graphics, courses available, online gameplay...etc. There is more to simulating than the "sim" features that you're referring to, and to ignore the value of that is a mistake I think.
Even E6 1.6 compared to TGC or PG, graphic wise, is a joke. Obviously you are not using my eyeballs as well, so I guess it's my opinion.

Disagree, but it's your opinion. The main thing I want is realism. I am playing on a simulator and e6 graphics are just as good as tgc when you take ball flight etc into account. Tgc is a cartoon. You keep wanting to let tgc off the hook but software is take input, turn it into output. Their software albeit in the gaming world has been around a long time. Their are actually video games that have these features already. If tgc did in the first place it would be easy to convert.
Regardless , this thread is about their unresponsiveness. Have you seen them reply? No, because they let you guys make their excuses for them.
My brothers come over and after 30 minutes say can we go back to the protee courses? E6, I hit range and it gives me great feedback. Very important in a golf simulator so yes, worth every penny compared to tgc.

Sure video games have these features, but I don't see any of them willing to license out their software for a simulator hardware company to port onto...
I don't know that everyone is making excuses for them, just being realistic. TGC is a video game, it's MAIN audience are not simulator users, by a large margin. That's why people that understand this are patient for these necessary features, as they understand, looking at it from HB Studio's standpoint, it's not feasible to work on changes for <1% of your user base.
Now if you're saying you wish you knew this before you purchased TGC, then I suppose that's on you.
Seems like you're saying TGC is not worth what you paid for it, which is your opinion. Along the line of opinions, I can't stomach the dated graphics of E6, so I believe their model is way overpriced. On the feature side, yes they definitely have more than TGC. Goes back to the mature thing though...

I am grateful for what I have. Hopeful for what comes. Yet not envious for what others have that I do not.
Whenever an update comes, I will be grateful. I do not walk in their shoes so I do not know what hurdles they face. Either way, I appreciate what efforts they make and the fact that they are trying to improve the game. They have not lied to me or promised something that was not delivered. I appreciate that they listen to the users and when possible incorporate or desires into their product, for free.
Let's make the best out of this. Perhaps a better thing to do is see what we can do to help them out. Beta testing, feature requests, maybe a poll sent to all users that lists the requests and prioritizes them so that we can be heard.
