Update status

Any update at all on this? I'd just like to know if we can expect the update in the next couple weeks or whether it's on the backburner and will come out over the late spring/summer at this point.

Skytrack is going to work perfectly????? That would sure make a lot of people happy......Originally posted by mthunt View Post
I don't think I'm saying anything I shouldn't but local match play was giving people the hole without allowing the other to putt. It was fixed. I use it all the time. Online match play had an issue where one player sees what the score is and other sees something different. That's the kind of stuff that's going. It's frustrating when stuff we want takes a long time. I begged for auto rewind forever. It is what it is. Things are coming slowly but surely. I imagine the priority is making skytrak work perfectly for the good folk that just dropped a lot of coin.Last edited by Boo Radley; 04-10-2016, 01:23 PM.

It's been a couple weeks... ProTee United is there any status update? Should we expect it may still be a while (i.e. weeks?) before this is released?

Thanks Bubba. I have just learned to live with TGC the way it is and it's not that bad now that I have gotten used to it. Would I like the features that are coming? Absolutely. It takes too much time and energy to keep asking for status. It wont help matters move along. I am guilty of being not so diplomatic in the way I have put things in the past so I dont want to come across wrong. ProTee has been great at responding to tickets and helping me with issues. I'm sure they are doing all they can to get this done. I just see some people getting a little frustrated. I have learned to just put it out of mind and when it happens, it happens.

If the match play is the problem area I'd be all for what Boo's requesting...to get an update so we can start using the camera setup and lighting changes while the match play continues to be worked out.

Update will be coming Bnorman but not sure when. It's tied up with programming at this point, solving bugs etc. etc. I want it out yesterday as well and hard to be patient. No question they are working on the update.

I will just add I have backed off on these requests for updates and it will happen when it happens. I do work in IT and yes, some projects can be moving targets but my responsibility if I am late on a project is to keep my customers updated. "Working on it" wouldn't go over too well as a reply. Protees support is top notch but the communication on this update has been lacking.

Haha! I'm not trying to start beef or berate anyone, I promise. That was Luv2Golf's job. Everyone is very much entitled to their opinion. I just felt the need to defend rdh considering the work he's put in on the HB forums on the sim player's behalf (a few others on here have contributed greatly to that cause as well). Ok, moving on. Happy golfing everyone.Originally posted by Boo Radley View PostPopcorn anyone????

Also, not one person has stated that ProTee isn't working hard or in any way questioned whether they "know and care about what they are doing". They've proven time and again they have great customer service. Talk about having a flair for the dramatic.

Because that wouldn't make sense. As much as you've done to get TGC designers to convert their courses to be ProTee friendly, I think you've earned the right to ask for a simple status update. For example, I wouldn't have bought TGC if it wasn't for the fact that you've gotten so many designers to shorten and flatten those RCR designs. Because I know how difficult they play on the console version. I seriously doubt ProTee having to take 10 seconds out of their design schedule to type that response hindered their progress in any way.Originally posted by rdh View PostMy original post was only asking about the status of the update and how far off it might be. So, I should have posted on the suggestions thread to ask about the status of the update? Makes zero sense to me. It's not a suggestion. Nothing new has been suggested or requested on this thread. Just a request for a status update and then someone throwing the idea out to maybe break it up into two updates. Not a product feature/enhancement request in any way shape or form.

Ok, I'll take the bait.
There is actually a post where we can post our constructive and relevant ideas for improving TGC. Here is the link:
http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...rtant-features
I've posted a few (hopefully) constructive ideas there as well.
This current post/topic is at least the third such post in the past month suggesting that ProTee do such and such, and release only such and such to hurry up the latest release. I wouldn't consider it the least bit constructive.
Yes we are their customers and sure they do listen to us, but frankly it does seem like we are telling them how to run their business, when they have long proved to know and care about what they are doing.
I would rather that ProTee be working on the update than spending time reading endless suggestions about what they should be doing, especially when they are likely hard at work getting the update ready and tested...
I'd wager that few of you have worked in IT or project management. It's tough to hit a moving target.Last edited by aja; 03-22-2016, 05:20 PM.
