Can we please get an update on the update? As someone who has paid $2k for hardware and hundreds per year in subscription fees, I find a release per 6 months pretty unsatisfactory (especially when a large ball speed bug is hanging out there).

"It should be out in the coming weeks." Is not really an answer... SkyTrak_Seth what is the latest?

I agree with the “dead company” bit. I think they are in some financial trouble with the lack of updates and the E6 snag. It shouldn’t be a joke to contact a company. They should have a screen and projector set up as a package deal. Without it, they will be short lived. This imho, but having worked through the process, it’s just too much unless you really want it. I almost gave up...

I know we can boost in tgc, but my concern with the skytrak is greater than just distance. If ball speed isn’t accurate for folks with 160+ actual ball speed, are we sure that launch and spin are accurate for those shots? Is the shot just going shorter or is it completely bogus data? The lack of response is making me lean toward completely bogus data.

What exactly is the issue at high ball speeds? I'm 160+ and everything feels accurate to me

If your 160 + on skytrak what are you on gc2? What is your carry outdoors?

Exactly the same on GC2. Carry outdoors pretty similar to Skytrak. GC2 reads higher cuz it exaggerates distance on low spinning drives. I think the longest drive I've hit on Skytrak is maybe 321 @ like 168 ball speed

I liked my skytrak and was a big fan. My testing showed it to lag gc2 in ball speed.
Im waitingto hear what their professional testing reveals like everybody else.

It's just infuriating and so out of character... just an acknowledgement that there's delays, not even giving any specific reasons, would be better than silence. The current approach only serves to fuel rumour (always negative).

I don't think its to do with bad customer service, I just think that this new VISTRAK has all the companies scrambling to focus on what to do next?

I'm pretty sure no one was expecting such a big disruption to the market so soon.

I assume the next step is to get a VISTRAK if the rest don't pull up their socks.

I've been trying to follow the Vistrak threads, but I can't follow to understand what I would want/need. Would love to add that to the Skytrak, but could I just sell the ST and get something a couple levels up from Vistrak? The website is terrible and super hard for me to follow.

Hi

The main version Vistrak seems to offer everything the GC Hawk, Uneekor does with ball, club and video data for something like circa 2K.

The LX version seems to be a portable version of Vistrak that gives ball, club & putter data, but not all at the same time, has to be switched between ball, club and putting mode. Will be selling at skytrak price of $1695.

Everything works with all software TGC, E6, etc even the old red chain software, plus they give you a free course to start off with anyway.

So the LX version could be bad news for Skytrak, as far as i can tell, we'll see come Aug 19.

Seems everyday on the GSA site, something new is coming out. I wish he'd stick to one project and get it right.

Today, 6 different dates just came out for what the vistrak will do. The testing starts this upcoming week, if the machine is not doing any ball or club data , what exactly are they testing. Starting to seem like more of an advertisement than a real working machine..

Legal teams generally mandate "radio silence" concerning anything which could influence stock prices, etc, in advance of formal press announcements. I have no proof of this, just curious because of the sudden disappearance of the SkyTrak team without explanation.

An upcoming product announcement or a merger makes sense to me as well. It would be nice to have SOMETHING to work with though. I've been pricing out my options, but it's hard to make a decision when Uneekor drops a new unit out of nowhere, Foresight responds with bundle sales on both the GC2 and GCQ, and SkyTrak is silent...

Interesting thought. Would explain why a company would go from having great communication and updates to complete crickets in such a short period. Not reassuring at all.

Yep. They're pushing their hardware but not answering any questions about their software or what's next. I'd be very cautious about upgrading your software or buying anything from them until they update people on their future.

They are always pitching the product. They have hardware to move, would be dumb not to continue marketing the product regardless of a what they are doing.

I think Skytrak's silence is bad news. If you were busy working on something, you'd just say, we're working on it.


I think things at the PGA show like the uneekor release has caused a bit of disruption to their future projections.

They probably know whats coming after the uneekor, and how much time they have left.


New range graphic releases etc.... are small fry, you don't need 8 months to release these small updates.

Usually a new product release every 5 years, so maybe something new for 2020!

I don’t get why everyone keeps mentioning uneekor? Isn’t that like 5-6 grand and up? Hell a skytrak was hardly in the budget for me, but if I had 6 grand I would have bought a gc2 in the first place. I guess I don’t really see how that is competition for skytrak.

Couldn't agree more and have stated that in other threads as well. The price points are so different. Like getting a Chevy compared to a Cadillac. You just can't compare the two bc they are totally different price points.
