I heard SkyTrak_Seth is giving trugolf the back and forth. Trugolf told me it should be released by PGA show.

I believe this was the first of the big 3 to be released. Could be wrong, but I believe the release order was:

      E6
      Perfect Golf
      TGC

If that's changed maybe someone in the know can shed some light. I might not own my ST anymore, but I do have friends who did buy them and they would like to know too.

That's probably good news I guess... the PGA show I mean. Won't believe it until it happens. I think you're right though luv2golf... no news must be good news as people hopefully have things working now wrt e6 and skytrak. Guess I'll have to format my sim computer when my 30 days runs out early in January and start again with the demo for another 30 until things happen. I'd love to be a beta tester for TGC but have no clue how.

So, yesterday I tried to rerun the friendly little extender program on the E6 demo and it only updated until 1/6/16. I'm wondering if that means it was created to only work in '15 and won't extend further? If so, this is a very sad day for me with no other sim progress showing up on this desolate forum. Anyone else seeing the same thing?

manually change the date on your computer, yes its a pain in the butt, but it works ...then if you have win 10 just click back to automatic and the date resets itself! enjoy!

I've been saying this for awhile and it's one of the reasons I jumped ship.......read up on the threads for when skygolf released their latest GPS device. The skycaddie Touch. There were so many delays, promises, missed deadlines. This is deja vu all over again.

Don't hold your breathe. If you want E6 after trials over, looks like you'll need to clear program and registry and re-install. Maybe there's a computer tech person that can help with where/what to remove. Good luck.........I'm loving my GC2.

Not all of us have a spare 4k plus sitting around. Transmission in my car recently died and of course xmas and 3 kids... Plus right now there are literally no gc2s to buy used thus were looking at more like 7k for new. I am a computer tech person and will figure out a way to make e6 work hopefully. I'll look around this weekend. Still hoping for TGC on skytrak. All I can do right now is wait.

I believe I have a workaround for trugolf e6 to get us by without having to format your PC since the friendly extender file appears to be broken after 1-6-16. PM me if you are interested in testing this out. Appears to have worked for me...

Just spoke to a very nice gentlemen at Trugolf that initially thought that Skytrak was ready to go with E6, but then after a short period on hold came back to tell me - not quite yet, but check back in a week or maybe 2. He told me that they had been working on a few remaining problems with short chips and putts but have things about ready to go live (confirming the issues we've seen in the demo.) Extremely helpful and friendly, the kind of support I would think we'd get from a software package of these $$$. He also told me that we should expect cloud announcements at the PGA show in late January. Says that the engineers originally gave 6 months to have it up and running, ended up taking over a year and a half. While I personally won't (probably not, so hard not to....) be buying e6, I have enjoyed the demo immensely and still do. I've managed to figure out that I can hit a bump and run 8-iron to about 20 feet in distance, so I rarely have the issue of not having a chance of getting up and down assuming 10 foot gimmes. Soon this too will be fixed and a sim option will be available for Skytrak, albeit at a pretty hefty cost. I'm curious if anyone expects to buy e6 when it arrives? I do like the online events as well - lots of fun.

There were two events that lasted through 12/23, a front nine event at Wade Hampton and a closest to the pin at Wade Hampton on #2. I hit a nice hybrid in there on #2 to about 1' 6" that stood up through almost 1000 people, until I get beat by about 2" with just a few days left. Good fun! Right now there are two events, the back nine at wade hampton (demo) and closest to the pin on #16.

I'm really torn on this issue. The options i'm looking at are e6 for skytrak or just dump the skytrak and go with gc2. The issue is gc2 folks want $10k Canadian and that includes pg - a sim option I was told to avoid. I'm not against dropping $10k if gc2 is materially better than what I could get with skytrak and e6 and/or tcg. The longer it takes skytrak to get their sh.. together the more likely I'll move to gc2. My sim room is completely finished and i think it looks awesome. Just waiting for a real sim experience. The e6 demo is good but not good enough. Hope the final product addresses the issues you highlight above. Just spent 2 weeks playing IRL and can't wait to keep my swing tuned up in sim.

I have E6, Protee, TGC and PG. The only advice I can give on buying more than one is don't. You only need one. If you have more, you'll wonder what's the point. I only paid for Protee. The rest were free.

aja - Is Protee the system you are talking about? I do have an area dedicated. As far as mthunt comment, I understand what you're saying, I just want more options when it comes to sim competition, tournaments, etc. Should I look into selling the skytrak and purchasing a protee package? I haven't really looked at Protee much at all to be honest, maybe I should have...

I too would like to hear about protee packages and from anyone who has had success or failure with them. Dumping skytrak and a gc2 purchase isn't the easiest move. They are priced pretty far apart even though we tend to constantly compare them. So protee thoughts vs skytrak anyone?

That's what I tried first. My original intention was to have trugolf build a sim room for me. The issue was ceiling height. The trugolf sensor needs a platform that is 6 inches high. Thats 6 inches I couldn't spare.

An inch more you'd be a king, an inch less a queen. Not that that has any relevance on the post.......

In all seriousness, it's a lot of tweaking and fiddling with dedicated sensor systems. I have friends with them and I would never go that route. After 7 months of skytrak and 1 month of GC2 and playing other systems. A portable LM is the only way to go in my opinion.

        HI Mario

You don't need a 6 inch platform for Trugolf. We designed a studio that uses only a 2 5/8 inch platform. That is a 2 inch rubber pad with 5/8 inch turf. Have a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ICSPNZLVKY

Bionic - I probably could have worked with the set up in the video. But ... When I contacted the simulator guys I was told the ground level projector box would get in the way unless I was on a raised platform. Not sure what the hieght requirement was but it was more than 2 5/8 inches. I'll contact simulator guys directly - perhaps I can still go with a sensor option. Thanks.

The system I was referring to is indeed ProTee. It requires no more than a 3 inch raised floor in order to match up with the height of the sensor unit.

Contrary to some opinions, once the ProTee system is properly set up, there is no tweaking and fiddling. ProTee customer support is the gold standard and they will set up your system remotely at no charge. Mine has been installed and trouble free for over a year now. No tweaking, no fiddling.

The fact is, I have heard very little negative about the ProTee. I researched for over a year, reading the forums etc. I sat on the fence and when SkyTrak came out I decided to go with a proven technology that had a history. I chose ProTee, instead of SkyTrak. There's no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision. The only forum topics that deal with ProTee are the ones related to the improvements coming for TGC. The bulk of the new postings on this forum are tales of woe related to the SkyTrak. Case closed.

And to back up mthunt, there really is no need for multiple sims. In terms of bang for the buck, getting the TGC ProTee combo is very cost effective. At least 1/2 the cost of a new GC2 and about the same as a used GC2 which are rarer than hen's teeth.

At this point I'm not sure of other sims that are running online competitions. PG is still beta, E6 cloud has yet to be released (correct me if I'm wrong), and the original ProTee (Red Chain) has been superceded by TGC.

TGC is up and running competitions already.

Happy indoor golfing! And Happy New Year!

Protee combo pack 2 is $5999 right? From what I've read I would need that in order to be able to putt. Still pretty expensive...

Protee TGC 2016 is shown as $ 2,995 USD

You can putt from the base sensor.

So....I was kicking ass in the 9 hole challenge right up until I was on the fringe with an 8ft chip.....took 5 strokes. Then I was in the "underbrush" and took an 11. It wouldn't let me punch out or even advance the ball more than a few feet. The chipping is really frustrating.

"Don't buy the FSX software it's not worth it and there isn't much value there. Get either TGC or Perfect Golf. Stay away from E6. Start reading threads and doing your own due diligence."

Above is the comment I was referring to - I was mistaken. The writer was referring to FSX, not pg. Was a while back - got confused between FSX and pg.

E6 is by far better than anything that came with the skytrak or I got in the game improvement package I never should have paid for to begin with. My only complaint with e6 is it no real way to save data of all your shots for reference.

While I haven't been to the site yeah I created a profile. I was more meaning for practice session and using the range as like a gap testing and fitting booth. I know you can print the output but it was just lacking in the info it shows and most people don't have a printer on their sim so outputting in spreadsheet or PDF would be more ideal.. I will check out the website now though and if it's there well ignore my ignorance

Exactly Dax, people think they can get $2500 software for free with their $2,000 launch monitor. It's quite impressive how people feel the need constantly expect more and more.

E6 is $1850.00 I guess you need to pay the extra 650$ to make it $2500 to get the ability to export?
