Hi Seth. I'm new to this forum but have been reading as much as I can about SkyTrak on this and other forums. It seems that many experienced sim users think that The Golf Club game is the best simulator software out there right now. In fact, if I'm understanding and remembering things correctly, Bubba22 and Zmax were instrumental (please correct me if I'm wrong) in getting ProTee to integrate their sim hardware (and gc2) with The Golf Club software. So my question to you/SkyTrak is simply this: Has there been any thought to integrating SkyTrak with The Golf Club? And if so, what are the odds that this might happen? And if so, when?

TGC never really runs "comfortably"...it uses the Unity graphics engine which is kind of clunky and seems very bad at rendering large outdoor areas (such as an entire golf course).Originally posted by Rcush88 View PostIs that good enough to play TGC COMFORTABLY???
I have a 970 graphics card and have no problem running TGC at 1920x1200 at 60FPS. It just uses more power and runs louder and hotter than any other game I own.
That HP will run it as good as it can be run.
Hopefully TGC2 will use a better engine and run much smoother.

Right I've invested into a laptop to run TGC/Perfect Golf.
i7, 32gb, PCIe SSDs. GTX 970M.
I couldn't justify the cost of the 980M, given I'm going to run on my 1080p projector I figure 970M is best performance / value for money.
Now I've shelled out on the hardware I'm itching to know when the software will be released.
Please try to give some indication still 2015?

Hahahaha well ....... ok I guess. I just created a few simple courses with yardages that fit my distance perfect to be able to practice without getting too frustrated because I have no chance to hit the green in regulation on a par 4. So it's been going ok. trying to get a little better at it one step at a time.

3XS LG15 Vengeance.
It's kinda unbranded from Scan a UK based assembler.
It's i7 6700HQ based. I rammed it full of ram and got super fast PCIe M2 storage, mainly so I can run many virtual machines for my work. Trying to make some use of it outside of TGC to help stomach the costs.

If that winds up being true and ES16 is accurate I'm saying bye bye to my Skytrak

That would be pretty funny if Ernest released TGC day 1, and SkyGolf/whatever is still trying to "figure it all out". I know this stuff isn't simple, but by god, by now this should have been released. Especially since now they presumably have the licensing structure setup because of WGT.
I would hate to sell my Skytrak and jump to another monitor, but never say never.

I gave up on SkyTrak. I just bought a GC2. My Skytrak with what's left on my subscription is for sale.

I would do the same, but I am really holding out hope for the following cost scenario to play out per my crafty plan:
Pre-ordered SkyTrak with GIP: $1595
Upgrade to GIP+Sim play: $99
Purchase of TGC w/ discount: $895
Total: $2589
Savings vs buying a used GC2+TGC: $1900
(BONUS: $99 per year for the privilege to use software I own outright: priceless)

Ya, I too have been looking at used GC2's. I'd like to get one that's apple compatible for $3,200 if possible. Might be a pipe dream.Originally posted by zip View PostI gave up on SkyTrak. I just bought a GC2. My Skytrak with what's left on my subscription is for sale.
Foresight should offer a trade in program for Skytraks. That would be very funny!!!

You can sell it outright and be playing in two weeks with everyone else that has been playing since the ST was announced, or you can wait. Maybe ST would take one in like apple and iphones for a couple hundred bucks, they can sell them as refurbs.Originally posted by luv2golf View Post

Has it been confirmed that TGC will be an outright purchase and not a yearly fee to play with skytrak?

Here's what we know for sure: Skygolf has no idea when they will release or fulfill anything.Originally posted by wise990 View PostHas it been confirmed that TGC will be an outright purchase and not a yearly fee to play with skytrak?
