I got in on the first run because I thought it would save me a lot of money on a good screen. Problem is I'm still about 4-5 months from getting a projector and completing my sim room. Will leaving the screen folded in the box for several months leave any long-term damage? Will it get wrinkles or creases that won't be able to be ironed out? Any guesses?

If its 16x9 I would sell it to me !!!!!! I would get the wrinkles out now with a https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Press-a.../dp/B0047E11LC, then roll it around an old cardboard carpet roll

I doubt it would do any permanent damage, but perhaps occasionally taking it out of the box and using a steam machine to get out the wrinkles would prevent the possibility. It looks like you ordered a 15 ft screen, if you'd like to sell it I would be interested in having a backup. It does save you a lot of money over buying from carl's so it might be in your best interest to keep it.

I'm in the same boat. I took mine out of the box, loosely rolled it up, took some of the long plastic bags that they ship drivers in and cut them open length wise, laid the rolled up screen in the bags like a hot dog, then cut a few driver boxes open into an "L" shape and laid the screen in that behind my couch against the wall. I'd suggest getting it out of the "folded" location and roll it if possible. Much less chance to have creases to deal with I'd try to use some of the other methods first to remove any existing creases then roll it.

Can anyone advise on how durable this material is?

Although I have only used this material for a month or so, I think it is going to be very durable. I hit every day and I steam clean mine about once a week very lightly to keep it wrinkle free and looking perfect. Very, very pleased with this material. I will definitely get a back up roll if we place another order.

Thanks Gene, do you have anything behind it? I was thinking of moving blankets style material. The material look like it gives a good image

                            It's official. Eta 10 weeks.

Going to attempt to make the following improvements

                            1. Increase thickness to absorb impact better
                            2. Increase density of middle yarns
                            3. Increase fabric weight
                            4. Increase durability/strength
                            5. Finish both sides of the material the same
                            6. If possible tighter knit to improve projected image

Supply chain is improved, price should reduce slightly.

                            Best

                            Daniel

I would like a 14x10, maybe 2. Do you know if the screen is acoustically transparent? I am going to have speakers behind the screen.
