GC2 GSX & ProTee Inteface Setup for TGC and ProTee 2.0

Follow the steps below and in the next few post to initially connect your GC2 to GSX to ProTee Interface. Enjoy!

1: Connect your Bluetooth adapter to your pc's USB port using a USB extension cable. Run the cable into the sim room where the adapter will be as close to the GC2 as possible or within 6 ft of the GC2. After that, install the Bluetooth adapter driver that came in the package.

2: Turn on the GC2. From the right bottom corner of the Taskbar, click the up arrow to show all hidden icons. Select the Bluetooth icon and select Add Devices. See the screen shots below.






3: If your GC2 does not pair up automatically, click your GC2 device and select Pair. Then enter 0000 and click Next.

Some how I got it to work once. I had input and output both connected. But when I restarted my computer, I can't get it to work again. Keep getting INPUT disconnected. I triple check all the settings, can't figure out why.

I used to have this problem all the time until I got a USB extension cable and moved my Bluetooth dongle closer to the GC2.
They're now about 2 feet apart, and I never have this issue anymore.

It's a Bluetooth issue. Try hitting a shot to get the GC2 running when not connected then connect again. It's that or your Bluetooth is too far. It needs to be really close with an extension. If it's far it'll also be slower.

go to your settings panel and check Bluetooth connections. the GC2 needs to say 'connected', not just paired. If you can't get it to connect, delete and re-pair. I have no idea why, but I wind up needing to do this every once in a while. Perhaps the connection get corrupted. In any case, it is a PIA, but it should work.

This might be a really dumb question. How can I tell me the Gc2 is connected vs paired in window 7. When I look at the bottom right corner of window bar is said Bluetooth active.

Im stuck on:
5: Start up the ProTee Interface. Click on Settings. Set Use External Data to ON. Then Save, Close, Exit, and then restart the Interface.

because when I click the slider to change "external data" to ON, I get a pop up window that's says:
"This change takes effect only after saving the settings and restarting this Protee Golf Interface"

In this window, my only option is to click continue, and once clicked, the slider remains greyed out to "off" no matter what I do.

also, someone mentioned that the GC2 needed to be showing as connected rather than paired in the Bluetooth settings, but my GC2 just stays at paired.

someone please help me I'm dying out here!

I have windows 10. When my GC2 is off, it will say "Paired" in the bluetooth connections because it has been paired in the past I assume. Once I go into GSX and connect, it changes to "Connected" in the bluetooth connections window.

As far as your slider staying greyed out, you need to left click on the right half of the slider (where it is grey). If you click on the green part and try to drag it to the right, it will pop up the window about changes taking effect after saving, but it won't actually move the slider over.

well, that was embarrassing!
it was as simple as clicking on the tight half of the slider.
i think I have everything working now.
just need to fiddle with the settings a bit to make sure everything works smoothly and as it should.

After you purchase you need to wait for Protee to send you the downloads. Follow the instructions here to a T. They are up to date. You need to wait for the downloads and licensees.

TGC is set to on in the interface and GSX. use external data is set to on in the interface. status input and output are connected and i have the green dot in the right upper corner in GSX. bluetooth settings confirms GC2 is "connected" not just paired. i connected to server in TGC then started the game. shots will not launch. when i hit a shot, GC2 displays shot data, but that data is not received in the interface.

any suggestions?

i am eager to start playing!

I had similar issues after switching from SkyTrak. Even with all the license and machine ID stuff squared away, it still wouldn't work and ProTee remoted into my computer and fixed some security/license issue that was going on behind the scenes. I'd open a ticket with ProTee so they can remote in and get it fixed.

Same thing is happening to me. I am waiting for protee to get back to me. Their customer support has been awesome so far, but unfortunately its the weekend and its pretty late where they are.

So, hopefully tomorrow we can get this squared away

What version of the protee interface are you running. An older one had a no launch bug for gc2s. The the most recent one should have that fixed.

Protee's customer service is outstanding! My issue turned out to be a license issue. They sent me another license key and everything is up and running

I think I will post the steps I went through to switch from the Skytrak to the GC2 after i play a round
