HOW TO PLAY
From the main menu select PLAY-> PLAY TOURNAMENT -> ALL TOURNAMENTS -> SET FILTER TO PUBLIC COMPETITIONS

You can play by yourself, offline with friends or ghost players or online.

They don't default as far as speed goes. Not too sure about firmness. Occasionally there are greens that seem more difficult to hold. This could be that the greens slope away from the hitter as opposed to sloping towards. The user can set their own green speed. Most players try to match it to their favorite local course.

I thought that the greens on TGC were all set to a middle firmness and speed? At least in the simulator version? did this change?

Yes that has changed. You can set green firmness and speed in the my settings menu in the main tgc launch window.

I have 3 holes to complete before I finish my first round. I really like the course, but shooting about 4 or 5 strokes over then I prefer...perhaps the last 3 holes will be kind to me.

Nice course and fun.

My Driver seemed to pull through a bit more round 2 but then my short game fell apart. Still showing slow but steady improvement which is good although I really look forward to breaking into the 80s

Guess it just wasn't my day!!!

I expected to find lots of complaints about TGC getting disconnected today during the tournament and looks like I'm the only one who was affected.

Started off round one pretty poorly with some bad shots, etc. Was not scoring well and I think I was 8 over pretty quick. Started to make some better shots and not lose so much ground and then TGC informed me that the connection was lost and I should try reconnecting. That didn't work so I exited the game and restarted the TGC server. Restarted TGC and hit Resume Competition. It took me to the 4th hole, though I think I had already made it to 7.

Oh well, started from where it put me and replayed the holes that I had already played when I again got the message that TGC had disconnected. When i reconnected and restarted I was back at the 4th hole again!

I'm not playing well to begin with and then have to cope with this nonsense! Took my ball and sulked home...

There were no issues with my internet connection, something in TGC?

Anybody else have this happen to them?

Offline means that TGC lost the connection with the servers. You might still have an internet connection, but TGC is not able to communicate with the cloud servers.

And it happened again today once when I started up TGC. It said that the SDK had not been started, but all had been started as usual.

Is this just coincidence or does it have anything to do with the tournament server problems???

The tour site is has been down for about 24 hours.... this means that they must be making major changes... or it is broken....LOL. Please remember that it is still in beta..... I really want to see my two scorecards too. I had an 8 or a 9 on #18 to bring me above par for a 74. That hole is my nemesis. I had an 11 there once.

Whew. Shot my best 84 on round 2. Short game was working and saved me a lot. I was initially thinking I would change my "tgc recorded shots" by next round but am now regretting I waited. How do you do that again?

Took my first lesson today. Already pointed out a huge flaw. Debating if I want to fit in this lesson or just get ready for the next.

The tournament website is currently down. The server has some hardware issues. It appears the CPU itself has died. Its being repaired.

Luckily its only the fancy visuals from the website itself that are not accessible.
This problem has no effect on the tournaments or game play. Your score, cards and shots are being recorded. You can play without any issue.

The leaderboards on the forum are being updated. We will let you know when the server is back up again.
