How to turn on SHOT RECORDING

Shot Recording is a Tournament feature. In order to use shot recording you must have a tournament user profile.
Play at least 1 live tournament event or official Q-School event in order for your tournament user profile to be created on golfsimulatortours.com .


TGC includes a SETTINGS file.

You can edit this file using the TGC Dashboard.
Skytrak users have a shortcut icon installed on the Windows Desktop: SkyTrak TGC Settings.

Important: Make sure the server or any other interface program is not running.




This settings file contains a section: [TGC Online].
Here you find:

Shot Recording=OFF
USER ID=<YOUR USER ID> eg. AAAA-1234-CCCC-5678-EEEE

1] Turn on Shot Recording by changing Shot Recording=OFF to Shot Recording=ON. Save the file.

2] Copy the USER ID.

3] Edit your Forum user profile and paste the USER ID in the field: TGC User ID.

4] Edit the field TGC Nickname in your forum user profile. Make sure its EXACTLY the same as the nickname you use in TGC (case sensitive).

5] Save you forum profile and hit a couple of test shots on a random course.



You will find the recordings on http://golfsimulatortours.com under your tour player profile.

I appear to shot recording on for tgc but not for tgc 2019. Is that even possible?

If you aren't updated to 4.0.7 tgc2019 then your shot recording would show up in tgc without course name

I also see that I don't have a handicap in tgc 19. I do in tgc 1. Is this an update issue as well?

So I didn't change my real name while setting up shot recording, and now it shows up as my tour name. I changed the file to the forum name but it appears its too late. How would I go about changing the tour name to my forum name?

Thanks, Wizard.  I do have the name inside TGC2019 set as my nickname (forum name). I also changed the name inside the file where you change shot recording changed to my nickname. I changed this after I realized it still had my real name, but had played Q school. This is where I think I goofed. Also, at one point in the video you mention to change the name in the two places, but you only show the one?

WOW, I managed to miss that even with watching it twice! I do have it set correctly now, just need to find some time to play an event and see if it switches over. Thank you again!

Hello ProTee United , I was wondering if you'd be able to lend a hand as I thought I set up shot recording correctly but just played my first tournament round and it's still showing up X'd out. I've taken followed the directions posted above and am wondering if there's anything else I should try to do to get it to work? Also, my flag is showing as USA even though I have selected Canada in my profile. Perhaps I need to be adjusting settings elsewhere?

Thanks mthunt, yes I did watch that video. The problem there is that when I downloaded 4.0.7 it no longer said my license key was valid, nor would it actually start the game. I wondered if maybe I needed to stick with the old version since I'm using R-Motion as isn't 4.0.7 TGC 2019, which isn't compatible? Anyways, I uninstalled and reinstalled the original version (SDK 3.0.0). I have an email in with Protee and am hoping they can help walk me through the proper setup. It's a lot of work to get everything going but I know it'll all be worth it eventually! Thanks for your help. I'll try not to pester but may have more questions as I try to figure this out.

Newbee to TGC 2019 online. Nickname Bohn B. I played QSchool and 1 round of the Farmers. When I go to the online Society for Pro Tee I can see my score and where it placed me. I just dont see my handicap included, and

can't find myself as a tour player. Just wondered how fast it updates.

I have an R-Motion system and recently tried tour play - I edited the file to turn on shot tracking and played one round in a tournament. Went to check score card and recorded shots online but found it said I had no recorded shots am I missing something or did I do something wrong?

You need to set your naming in 2 spots. Watch Wizards video. It helps.

Hi, changed my setting file to shot recording on, copied the user id from the settings file & pasted into my profile & changed TGC nickname to (Ian) my player name I use inTGC (Ian)

I have just played both rounds in the Arnold Palmer at Bay Hill my name shows up as a tour player (Ian) but has a USA flag not New Zealand but lists the details I entered into my profile
about living in NZ after moving from the UK.

The issue is that it is listing courses that I have never played with dates I played before I joined, could there be another player called (ian) same as me???

Also I use another user name for the forum (yorkie) could that be causing the problems? Thanks Ian

After the round there was no player profile created on golfsimulatortours.com that I could find. Shot recording, player name, ect... is CBALL. Any help as to what I screwed up would be appreciated.
