Best mat I've ever hit off of, wow!

Yea I have been looking at this. I haven't seen any reviews on it however.

Would be interesting to see how it is on the joints, how it is to putt off, and how badly it penalizes fat shots.

I think fiberbuilt is a little too forgiving on fat shots.

Ok , i tried the Quatro tonight..... it’s pretty damn good.

I have:
- Fiberbuilt
-CCE ( will never hit off of this again)
- divot action

IMO this Quatro plays more like real grass, and doesn’t seem to hurt my sensitive elbow (thank you CCE) .

That mat looks like a great concept ...my only concern is fatigue in the middle layer of the mat fibres with repeated hitting down on the same area. Does it seem possible that the middle layer could collapse after time and lose its's integrity .? If it did then you may be faced with a depression at the strike area , which rotation of the strip could extend the life of the mat .
Just curious, all options are a plus to the community

I wouldn't be too surprised if over time that does happen however, how long will that take would be my question. And my thought is a very, very long time. Each side of the mat has holes for tees so there's four sections to tee from and I hit irons from all over that mat...it's big enough to move around quite a bit. I've hit probably over a couple thousand shots on it so far and there is zero depressions and no show of it being worn. This mat also doesn't slowly degrade like my others mats...you know it's happening when you look at the bottom of your club and there's a thin layer of green mat. Not with the Quattro.

My guess is that you could many years of use, especially if it's a personal mat. I'd bet they could last for at least a few years outside on a golf course as well....probably longer.

It would be very interesting to see how many thousands of shots this mat would take to be at a point where you're thinking....time for another!

Thanks for the response , it sounds like it could be a real alternate option for the community. If the middle layer does not collapse in a short period of time and the hitting turf holds up well, whats not too like.

Ducati07 its been a couple weeks how is the mat holding up in the strike zone and where you stand think about riding one. Also the guys who are getting this mat from China are you guys just getting strips?

I've hit many shots on the Quattro without any signs of wear however, I use it with a Skytrack that I can move around so I don't hit from an exact same spot every time.

I was just at the course yesterday where I found the Quattro and I looked at their mats....zero worn areas. They look like new and the range was packed.

It's a 5' x 5' mat with eight holes for rubber/plastic tees like the pictures I posted.

Am I the only one using the 5 Star Urethane Perfect ReACTION Golf Mats?? I've had mine for three years and everybody loves it. Nice thick fibers that hold a real tee. Usi it with skytrak and do not see an issue with wear spots...5x5 is like $250 with free shipping.

I used a ReACTION mat as the top layer of my stance mat that sits up against my Fiberbuilt hitting strip. My ReAction is on top of some of those foam tile squares. I've hit off it several times and it's ok but I prefer the Fiberbuilt. The ReACTION is a bit grabby IMO.

HA! Yeah, that's the same one. I paid $399 plus $100 shipping then it went on sale for $325 the next day. They gave me $80 refund right away when I asked and now I'm going to mention this! Either way....I'm happy and I'm sure you will be as well.

I like the comments here on durability. I had the same concerns as @Kmurray immediately. The middle layer just does not look like it's going to hold up. However if @Ducati07 is saying a couple thousands shots with no depression, perhaps that judgement is wrong. I'd think there would have to be some indication of that layer being the weak point by then.

I like the idea, just the durability being a concern. I'm hitting off a mat from Rawhide right now (Top Golf resellers) and it's good, but I have the distinct feeling it could be better. Will watch this product. Thanks!

Now I've hit close to at least a few thousand shots without rotating the mat once. No depression or being weak and my judgement is spot on. This mat is way more stout than your judgement leads you to believe. If this thing was already showing wear, I'd be really disappointed and warn everyone to stay away however, it's still in brand new condition....believe it or not.

Has anybody received a strip of this mat yet to replace their fiberbuilt strip? I would love to hear some detailed comparisons. I'm in the process of planning a new sim room with a raised floor and a centered hitting strip and might consider this over fiberbuilt, which I have a lot of experience with.

I have one in order from China and will replace the fiberbuilt strip. With Chinese New year and now coronavirus, it is taking a while to send. I will update when I get it but it could be a while.
