I'm not entirely sure about this, but on my SkyTrak version of TGC1, rewinds appear to be OFF for any tournament, is their still a need for SR if rewinds cannot be done? I only ask because I cannot for the life of me get SR to turn on. I've played 6-7 tournaments now in the 2021 Winter league, established a relatively low Tour hcp and have had absolutely no access to Rewinds. Thanks in advance.

If you are using TGC1 your scores automatically won’t count without shot recording.

Is their a glitch in getting the updated info to Protee, as in I'm 99% sure all of my info and pasted codes are in all the appropriate places, however, with each new tournament a 'red' x and -36.0 show up for my scoring? The whole TGCTours site is confusing too, as any interaction with it beyond read-only is a direct link back to this forum. What gives?

Just to be clear, you are using the separate settings file to turn on shot recording, correct? (I never played tgc1 but I'm assuming it has the same separate settings file as in tgc19)

The tour site is read only. If you have the red X you likely have shot recording off. It needs to be done exactly as the instructions state or it doesn't work. I suggest you either start over and do each step or open a ticket with ProTee and they can help.

Yes, cannot figure it out. Oh well. I'm playing the honor system I suppose. Is it possible for for my User ID to be wrong in the "Settings File"? I got my SkyTrak unit a few years ago from someone on WRX, and they sent their other unit's box with it. I had a small issue when registering the product cause I used the code on the box, and it popped up as an error, but I eventually figured out the problem. Basically, what I'm asking is, if the physical hardware and User ID don't jive, I wouldn't even be able to play TGC, let alone turn shot recording on, correct?

Did you find where it says "Shot recording?" And did you delete the "off" and type in "on?"

Yes, it's "ON". Just now, I did find a small difference. My TGC nickname is my actual name(User Name in TGC Settings File) in the "file", and it asks on the forum User Settings for that, however, upon watching Coz's video he has his "Golf Forum" handle Wizard of Coz in that field instead of Jeffery Cosgrove like shown in his desktop Settings File. Hopefully this resolves it, and the forum mods can rename that portion of the User Settings page to reflect the GolfSimForum nickname and NOT the TGC nickname.

What are the rules on using shot preview? I don’t see anything written anywhere, and it feels like it shouldn’t be allowed... you don’t get to practice your shot on the course. Just wanting to understand the position please.

I just played the first hole at Royal St Georges and when I chipped into the green I realized Gimme was set to ‘on green’ from when my buddy came round last week. I’ve now set it back to standard tournament Gimme setting from hole 2 onwards, but is my round/entry going to be invalidated?

Doubtful. Depends on how the the commish feels about it. If you send him some gentleman's jack he will most likely let it slide this one time. mthunt
