How to turn on SHOT RECORDING

Shot Recording is a Tournament feature. In order to use shot recording you must have a tournament user profile.
Play at least 1 live tournament event or official Q-School event in order for your tournament user profile to be created on golfsimulatortours.com .


TGC includes a SETTINGS file.

You can edit this file using the TGC Dashboard.
Skytrak users have a shortcut icon installed on the Windows Desktop: SkyTrak TGC Settings.

Important: Make sure the server or any other interface program is not running.




This settings file contains a section: [TGC Online].
Here you find:

Shot Recording=OFF
USER ID=<YOUR USER ID> eg. AAAA-1234-CCCC-5678-EEEE

1] Turn on Shot Recording by changing Shot Recording=OFF to Shot Recording=ON. Save the file.

2] Copy the USER ID.

3] Edit your Forum user profile and paste the USER ID in the field: TGC User ID.

4] Edit the field TGC Nickname in your forum user profile. Make sure its EXACTLY the same as the nickname you use in TGC (case sensitive).

5] Save you forum profile and hit a couple of test shots on a random course.



You will find the recordings on http://golfsimulatortours.com under your tour player profile.

My old man GIJack isn't a forum member must he be to have shot recording set correctly? I do have it enabled in his TGC settings file.

Never mind, we found it. Have him hit a couple of shots on a random course and check his tour profile on golfsimulatortours.com.

Not finding anything wrong with your account. Hit a couple of test shots on a random course and see if it records on the tour site.

When I open the settings file, my User Name is not the same as my online handle (monovision) because of the name I purchased the software under. Is that why it's not working? I think everything else is correct, but I don't want to change the User Name in the settings file and mess things up. Thanks.

I THINK I followed the steps for turning on shot recording, but like others in this thread, I am a SkyTrak user and does not appear to be working. Like others I appear to be stuck using my full name as my user name but I think I have that and my user ID set accordingly on my profile here. I tried a few random courses and my name didn't show up on the tour site. So I played my first round of Q school, my name now shows up, but it says my shot recording is turned off. How do I get this fixed / turned on?

Your TGC nickname is Bryton and not Bryton623. We changed this for you in your forum profile. Try to hit a couple of shots on a random course and look on http://golfsimulatortours.com if it records now. I noticed that and changed it but it never changed on the tour page. Under the tour page section it is still showing "Bryton" and not "Bryton623" should that change? And where am I suppose to be seeing the recorded shots?

You can not change your name during a tour. Once started everything will be logged under the name you started the tour with. You need to decide what name you're going to use.

Shot recording will not work if the names do not match. You find shot recording on the tour site logged under your public profile.

You need to play a tour round or q-school round in order to get your name listed.

I was in the same boat and I have worked out that every time I close my comutor down the TGC skytrak settings file puts my name back from Walks to my full name that I used to purchase it. I changed it several times now and it always defaults back so I have identified this as the cause. If I update it prior to playing every time it works.

protee do you have a solution for this? Also on the Tour it lists me as American and not an Aussie.
