Hey I bought two 12x35 inch strips from steven. The turf feels great but one small problem. I never measured my insert before ordering. I took the 35" number off of here. I have a 9x4 fiberbuilt set up. The two strips I bought do not fit.

Anybody interested in either of the strips? I paid $179 all in to get both here. Will ship out for $85 each.

Let me know. I'll be ordering again but in my correct measurements!

Does anyone have a good comparison between these mats and Fiberbuilt? I tried a few before FIberbuilt that caused wrist pain. These are very tempting for the price.

my comparison. 58* wedges. 9pm swing for me.
noticed wittek knock off from China was about 400 rpm lower. Not a big differences considering I’m not a pro and results will vary. I tried to eliminate outlier shots too. Once notice I had was the YGT-3D was more consistent strikes and smash factor. Max shot from both very similar but my contact was not as crisp on fiberbuilt consistent which I think lead to less distance. Take it for what one guys results mean but I like both. The ygt-3D knock off felt awesome but I think is more forgiving that the fiberbuilt.

I felt like I would share my experience between multiple mats I have owned. I have a divot action and hate it bc it just gives to much to be realistic, causes spin numbers that are way off. I have a rawhide and it hurts like hell within a week or two. The gel insert diy truestrike grabbed like none other on fat shot, definitely stay away if you're a digger. Hurt myself where I was off of golf for six months ranging from shoulder and wrist to finally an intercostal tear. Quatro is great but at the end of the day if hitting every day it will still cause some soreness, not sure if from improper swing mechanics or just left over injuries from previous mats. The crazy thing is when I go back to tried and true Fiberbuilt it always always prevents and stops the pain the other mats have caused. It has disadvantages but those I can deal with bc pain is just not an option. I'm a 3 hc irl so I can pick it clean with the best of them, but even I get pain with all the other mats. Trust me when I say I too didn't want to spend a 1000 on a mat, but it really is worth every penny imho.

Thanks for the info. I really didn't like the FB, but also tend to dig a little, and want to avoid injury. I wonder about the soft strike and EZ Tee -Tee line now. I assume since they are not mentioned that you have not hit off of them?

Mega mat has taller fibers on top so when you hit a fat shot, it will grab the club and simulate a fat shot. The quattro mat has a tighter lie, more like fairway. The Mega mat can have a wooden tee inserted directly into the fibers and also has tee holes for rubber tees. The quattro mat only uses rubber tees for teeing up the ball.
There are no long-term issues using wood tees. The Mega Mat is commercial grade, made to withstand excessive tee use.
Mats are shipped rolled in the box. We always can do flat, but then it must go on a pallet (pricey if ordering single mat)

I switched to a Quattro. I'm a fan. I struggle from back pain due years of abuse. I was getting pain after hitting sessions on my previous mat. I've had the Quattro for a couple months now and played many rounds. No more back pain. I have a "digger" swing, and I like how the Quattro doesn't hurt my back but fat shots are short as they should be. I like a big hitting area as I use a GC2 on a slider and give me room to operate. As noted, only downfall is it doesn't take a real tee. No signs of wear yet.

I'm tempted to try mega mat based on comments above.

I requested a demo piece of the other turf they carry that can hold a tee, which I then cut into a smaller piece and embedded it into my Quattro strip. I prefer this to the birtees and other solutions. I ended up doing somewhat of a sloppy job, but it works.

However, for full transparency, I’m currently trying out a soft strike mat and using the tee’s that come with it.

The Quattro not using a real tee is not an issue for me. I like one big mat. I like how the two tee holes on each side are oriented. I use one for driver (red tee) and one for other (white). My GC2 is on a slider so I have space for irons and putting.

I bought the Quattro directly from China (yuhegolfmats). The sample I requested is described on their site as “tee line turf golf mat with 35mm tee line turf and 10mm foam rubber”

I believe I cut the sample they sent in half to embed into the Quattro mat. I could have gone with 1/4 of the size to just place a small square to hold tees. I’ve been redoing the flooring in my garage sim and it’s a mess right now, but I’ll send you the piece for free if I can find it.

As far as LM, I’m using an EyeXO.

Thanks RJBoogie your sample arrived a few days ago. I like it and it seems to be well made. That seems to be close thickness dimensions to Mega Mat? Have you ever used a Mega Mat, or compared that to Fiberbuilt?

I'm still thinking I may buy a full-on Fiberbuilt for my stance mat, as I have to know for sure that I have no pain, or chances of injuring my arms/wrists from swinging on any other mat as langnolen says above. I've played in Bar Sims just a few rounds, or an hour of hitting balls, and my wrists are sore as heck - I can't risk it...

I ordered the Quattro last week and it should arrive today. I ordered this net off of Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1) since it's portable and I can move it between my garage and back yard. Thankfully I'm in California and can hit outdoors 8-9 months per year since my wife won't let me set up shop permanently in the garage since she doesn't like getting into a hot or cold car (SMH). I figure I can be up and running in about 5-10 minutes between setting up the net and laying down the mat. I'm contemplating a Skytrak but the backorder situation is crazy (4-5 months to get one). Curious how well everything will work out for me.
